August 23, 201312 yr Hmm I thought they said the size would be reflected in the price? It's the same price as wales basically and wales came with Cardiff airport!I think they've missed the mark by a long shot... can't imagine this will sell well at all. Colin

August 23, 201312 yr Just flew from Cork to Dublin ... very nice flight, except for the myriad of floating houses in Dublin. Now off to a comparison flight in Northern Ireland. There aren't that many major airports in N. Ireland. Maybe I'll do a Belfast circuit. Edited August 23, 201312 yr by IFR7700 Dennis Trawick Screen Shot Forum Rules
August 23, 201312 yr Hope you aren't suggesting that Cork & Dublin are part of N. Ireland. Think that could upset the Irish community !! Arnie....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...
August 23, 201312 yr Hmm I thought they said the size would be reflected in the price? It's the same price as wales basically and wales came with Cardiff airport! I think they've missed the mark by a long shot... can't imagine this will sell well at all. It's less expensive for me than a single Mega Airport - still I'll do without it. What happened to AVSIM
August 23, 201312 yr That's quicker than I thought...!!! They certainly weren't creating a buzz about this one. I'll pass too though, just as I passed on Wales and Scotland. I will be waiting patiently for Norway South and until then FTXG is good enough for me.
August 23, 201312 yr Not sure why anyone would want to buy this. But I guess the developers have their reasons. Since it is only around 35nm from Belfast to the Republic of Ireland (as the crow flies) it would surely have made more sense to do the entire island. John
August 23, 201312 yr True indeed. Given the relative size of NI and geographic similarity with the Republic, it makes more sense to me to put NI and ROI together into one package and sell it at the standard price for an OrbX region... but for them, it is two regions and two maybe reduced prices that, added together, make more money... Perhaps if enough didn't buy it at the onset, OrbX would bundle NI with a ROI region and sell it as one... Their business decision not ours... A Andrew Entwistle
August 23, 201312 yr I don't understand why they didn't do Northern Ireland and Ireland as a single region... Being it so small, I was hoping for a price in the 15~20 euro range, but since OrbX put in the 20+ range I'm going to have some additional consideration about it and I might pass up on it too... Regards, Frank van der Werff
August 23, 201312 yr I'll pass on it for now and I'm less then an hours drive from Northern Ireland. I have photoreal scenery for the Republic and the difference when i flew over the border into the default scenery was enough to put me off flying into Belfast, I installed FTX-G and now the transition is fine and I'm flying into Belfast regularly. Global alone is fine for me in Northern Ireland. Side note: Belfast is a great city if anyone gets a chance to go do it.
