Now that I think about it, everyone will be off flying, and nobody will give a care.

Dennis!!!

You!!!

Your team ruined my weekend and dashed my hopes for a good season, jerks!

(Kidding...we all knew who was going to win that game...but I'll fake my irritation and general disappointment!)

I was posting that in general as a catch all.

hey Kyle i had landed at Leesburg Executive before .

haha - how did I miss this?

Lovely little airport, isn't it?

Kyle Rodgers

Let's say you have a maintenance issue with one of the engines. You have the ability to summon a mechanic (sorry, an AMT) to fix it. Said AMT opens the cowls and starts to work on the engine. Shortly after that, three more AMTs come by and start telling the one who's working what he should and shouldn't be doing to that engine while sipping on their respective cups of coffee. After 15 minutes, an angry animated pilot who looks very much like Capt. Randazzo sticks his head out the cockpit window and yells at the AMT who's working, but not at the three who are standing around, telling him to get moving because his departure window is closing He adds: "Can't you just defer the thing?" The three AMTs standing around raise their heads to the sky, whistle, and start to walk around aimlessly while the AMT working storms off and yells at his supervisor and tells him to "get this guy off my back or this plane isn't going anywhere." In the end, after much negotiation and soothing of hurt feelings, the issue is resolved, the cowls are closed, and the flight leaves with a 45 minute delay, which flight ops blames on maintenance, and maintenance blames on flight ops.

It all happens outside the airplane, and it's as real as it gets. . . .  Is that the secret?  :Straight Face:

yes it is . i enjoy small airports alot more than BIG ones , takes a hell alot les time to taxi to the ramp or terminal and the same goes for departures ...

The things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm

there is a certain 787 dev website down for maint.

Oh the madness and insanity when will it end

Gus Yanno

Okay, seeing that we have people attempting to pick out the most subtle of minutia here:

-It is NOT inside the aircraft. This means that if you would have to walk into the aircraft to see it (or it's effects), it is not the surprise.

-The external view of the aircraft is actually outside the aircraft (I'm really not sure how anyone could interpret anything I said to include the external view as inside the aircraft...)

-It is NOT anything PMDG has said they would not do, or would not do any time soon

Now, can we have a thread estimating how many times I have had, and will have to, rehash the above?

Kyle, are you still alive??? I guess you gonna jump out the 777 now

Ok back to the surprise, FMC? Uh thats inside no no

Nosewheel? Jk

Ok is it something related to the model or something that can pop up, i mean something like the RAT?

Yep - ya got that right!

Kyle, are you still alive???

Barely.  Someone said NAT Tracks and I nearly died on the spot...

Nope...the MD-11 had a RAT and that was about 4 years ago.

Remove Before Flight streamers?

They said it would be something we can't miss.

And although you technically COULD miss those... you will certainly find out when your pitot/static isn't working and the air speed indicators show unreliable and different readings.

"We're at takeoff thrust, and my Airspeed shows 62?!"

"Mine says 96! and the Standby shows 40!"

High-mounted third brake light?

I thought only the MD11 had those... also known as "Thrust reverser engine #2"

Or maybe your virtual camera is ingested by the GE90 when you get too close with a view.

I like that one lol. *Engine noise gets louder as you approach... really really loud!... and then suddenly *Squish* (everything goes silent and black).

Other silly predictions:

  • A free copy of PFPX with every 77L
  • A free "Boeing 777" T-Shirt
  • An automated script that compels Vatsim controllers to give priority to PMDG 777 users, even (especially?) over Air Force 1.
  • An automatic brain upload that causes you to immediately and automatically know how to fly the 777, and have a 100% perfect recall of the entire manual & FCOM etc. This will cause all users to respond 100% accurately to any and every EICAS, Checklist and memory item at all times.
  • a "rose coloured glasses" simulation that shows an animated hand that puts glasses on, which literally turns the screen "rose coloured".

Nope...the MD-11 had a RAT and that was about 4 years ago.

The PIC 767 had a RAT and that was 12(?) years ago!  :P
