FPS. What FPS do you get?

Featured Replies

Have you adjusted the ND and PFD refresh rates to 15?

Made a huge difference to me. I was on the runway at EGBB yesterday at 50 FPS.

Do defrag as well. And also make sure your AV is set to exclude FSX.

Ok. I have to join in.

  1. The mouse pointer thing?? Wow! What a difference. I put my mouse pointer on the other screen and my frame rates gain about 7-8FPS. Awesome!
  2. Solution. I place annoying little mouse on other screen and only use EzDoc to move around the cockpit. Big deal some may say but this is all news to me so am very happy with this ain.
  3. Nvidia Inspector...I deleted FSX profile.
  4. Using my Nvidia control panel I simply placed the option between Quality and Performance = BALANCED
  5. Used Bojote's automated FSX Tweaking & Tuning Service http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html
  6. A small victory-smooth and enjoyable

I did away with what I think was too much information for my system to handle.

Thank You.

What are your sliders set at?

I get low 20's in the air, and teens on the ground. I think we have comparable systems and I'm just not seeing 40's with anything.

Autogen is set at very dense, water effects are set at high 2x. Airline traffic 55%, road traffic 25%, general aviation traffic 25%. All others are maxed out. I have light bloom switched off and I'm not using Direct X 10 preview.

No.

I made sure the right hand side under popup was at 15 Too

May be why you still see no improvement.

both sides?

In your screen shot, you don't have 15 beneath the word popup. You have --

Enter 15 there too, for the popup frame rate. For both EICAS and ND.

right?

Yep, that's it. That's how I have mine.

Check your frame rates now, see if they're better.

Guys, I am doing some tests at the moment, I think it's mainly the navigation display. Try putting everything to 15 or 30 but keep the ND to 8

Guys, for those you of you struggling have you set FSX to unlimited and then set a fps limit in Nvidia Inspector?

This is what I did for the NGX and it worked great! - HOWEVER, in the T7 things seem to be different. I have set Both FSX and Nvidia inspector to unlimited and now have an extra 5-10fps from the VC on the ground and in the air.

Might be worth a try for those struggling.

From my previous post I can confirm that my performance has vastly improved in the T7 by turning off the Nvidia Inspector FPS limiter.

These are all direct from the sim with no editing - so you can see im running at a very high setting.

Interestingly the NGX performs worse for me with this tweak - so will have to have two different profiles.

Take-off turn to the left at KSFO (Flghtbeam) 49fps

Downwind 47fps

Final approach (AI traffic is at 50%) 31fps

I am REALLY beginning to hate you Elliot! :P

I've got no clue how you're getting these magnificent frames, but I'll tell ya this, I'm nowhere close.

I've got the vsync set at 1/2 refresh in Inspector, should I take that off?

Haha, just trying to help...!

I have removed anything that would limit or try to limit frames - completely removed all VSYNCs I had for the NGX (which worked great). I am experiencing a couple instances of stuttering due to lack of VSYNC but it is only happens maybe 3-4 times a flight for maybe 1/2 second - well worth the price for having silky smooth frames the rest of time.

Its worth a try I think - your mileage may vary, just trying to help out with what is working for me!
