I've made half a dozen Air Hauler runs in the 777 on WIndows 8 without issue...zero system/FSX problems. I have liveries installed and have used a few different ones so far. The only issues I've ever seen with FSX-related stuff and Windows 8 is Coolsky's MD-80's (can be fixed) and occasional issues with EZDok (which I dumped for OpusFSX anyway). PMDG stated that they'll re-evaluate the situation when 8.1 comes out, but I figure it'll be a non-issue given how well it works now. All of this stuff is so "how you have your rig setup-specific" in many cases.

I've been running FSX on Windows 8 for a while and the only issue I've had is with the whole "joystick dropping" out crap. The PMDG 777 works without any problems for myself but It can depend on everyone's system I suppose.

Has anyone got the PMDG 777 running on windows 8 x 64 yet ???

 

The PMDG product details on their website says it might work but won't support it if doesn't. !!

 

FSX works great on windows 8 for (me including the NGX ) but I am not keen on buying something that might not work with no support and no refund for a downloaded product.

I had PMDG 777 with Windows 8 x64 without problem most of the time.

 

In the very beginning, my 777 will crash everytime i exit FSX, and it's not working in multiplayer mode, BUT after I install FSUIPC, everythings are working fine now!

 

But sometime FSX sometime still crash with 777 or NGX, but it's better now,

Everything works for me, I only had joystick issues, which I think I solved. Fsuipc I think did the trick.

This is the whole point of my 'Bitter Sweet' post concerning the 777. Windows 8.1 is around the corner and here we have a shinny new 777 only compatible with a seven year old product and an OS one version behind the current one...

No issues using the PMDG 777 on Windows 8 for me. 30fps (Nvidia nspecter lock at 30).

Runs fine for me been running fsx on windows 8 for months now using the ngx n 777 no problems

Same here.. everything was working great on my W8 x 64 PC UNTIL today, There is a new update for the operations centre and when I click update, windows 8 says the app update will not run on my computer. Hopefully I do not need it.

hey guys, i see your forum on pmdg t7 with windows 8 but what about windows 8.1 x 64? (the rtm version) that was previously released a couple days ago? i just bought an hp computer with windows 8.1 x 64 and im planning on upgrading to fsX and i want to know how it works before i order the computer. i was contemplating getting one with windows 8 because i saw alot of good results on that windows but my parents want me to get the most recent windows.. :(. please reply as soon as possible giving me info on windows 8.1 with the pmdg 777 as well as how well flight simulator x runs with it.
