Whats Everyone Doing

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just a quick post to ask if everyone has purchased the 777 or is anyone holding back and waiting a few days for the rush to calm down?

I have not got the PMDG 777 yet and might wait untill the weekend because of work.

Kind regards

Greg

I've purchased and installed today very smooth no problems encountered, I finally have her set up controls and options wise, I'd definitely recommend reading (at least) the manual PMDG provide and the release notes that come with the installer as they have some very helpful info in there. Can't wait to take her for a Heathrow-Dubai inaugural on the weekend :D

For those still waiting: the rush seems to be over, PMDG servers are running smoothly, as far as I heard.

Go and get her, you will NOT be disappointed.

Purchased her last night in the middle of all the fuss. Currently on-board PIA 422 from Stockholm Arlanda to Islamabad, night has just set in, and she's looking magnificent! 5 hours to go  B)

I'm downloading as week speak! Only 32mins to go....

Not sure if it is server load or not but I'm downloading at ~300kB/s. Wouldn't mind knowing everyone else's experience with the download. Anyways, I can't wait

I was going to wait until tomorrow, but the excitement is too much to bear, so i'm buying it tonight. Im on satellite internet out in the sticks so I'll start it before my unlimited download period starts just after midnight and hope I can get all 778mb worth before it ends at 7am.

Wooohoooo

Unless your internet connection is disgustingly slow, I imagine you would get it ~1hour or less  :good:

Well I downloaded it this morning and insfalled it without any problems at all before I went out to work, and after having a quick look around the cockpit and the outside I had to leave it there and go out and work, I sooooooo didn't want to go out to work! Will be doing a test flight tonight from KPAE for a ciuple of hours and then back into KPAE.....I just can't wait!! Will do it's first full service flight in a few days, prob back to EGCC in the UK.

Isn't this hobby just MEGA! I love it, been into it now since 1999.

Cheers

Picked up my new rig from FedEx late yesterday afternoon (stats in left link) and found that the T7 was out when I got home. Crap! :O I quickly unpacked the new system, inspected everything while installing an extra SSD for FSX, fired it up, and worked through the Windows Update process (Win 8 system) while configuring things to my liking. When that was all done, I worked through the FSX install process (I always use PMDG's method), dropped in the uiautomationcore.dll I'd been using on my old Win 8 machine, setup the options, and applied the basic tweaks to the config.

At this point, it was nearing my usual bedtime and my patience had departed, lol, so I hit PMDG's site and bought the T7 and installed it without issue. I let the Ops Center update then downloaded a few liveries. Launched FSX, validated the T7, and setup at KAUS. Spent the remainder of my time gawking at the cockpit and making a quick circuit...WOW, what a bird! Smooth like butter and trouble-free. Closed FSX, lamented the fact it was bedtime, and hit the sack.

After work tonight, I'll resist the urge and get all of my scenery stuff re-installed (GEX, UTX, FSGenesis, UT2, EFB, etc.) and start in on the T7's manual.

Gonna be a hermit-like weekend I think...
