September 11, 201312 yr It's about time we get a new flight simulator that is optimized for today's computers. PMDG, who has taken the lead on very accurately modeled addon aircraft, is the right entity to do so!
September 11, 201312 yr Yeah. Lockheed martin went the ###### way and made the new development in pro and edu direction. So homesimmers cant enjoy the new code...
September 11, 201312 yr I'm sure, Steve from the Avsim-Dx10-Forum will change the FSX-world with his upcoming DX10-Fixer. This should resolve all problems with DX10 and the end of OOM's!
September 11, 201312 yr If be nice, but I have a feeling making planes (damn good ones) for FSX and making a new sim or even highly tweeking FSX are two different things that need different skill sets. I mean airports are airports, planes are planes, but those are not a game engine. Just my opinion. I'm sure PMDG could, but the money it would cost and the learning curve would be huge. -Raven HarrisIntel i7 980X @ 4.43GHz | ASUS Rampage III | Corsair 6GB DDR3 2000MHz | 3 EVGA GTX280 | Corsair 1200 Watt | Intel 510 SSD (RAID 0)PMDG - 747-400/8iF | MD11/F | BAe J41 | 737NG 6/7/8/9 Hope ER/BBJ|777LR/FFlight1- Cessna Mustang
September 11, 201312 yr I don't think PMDG will benefit from taking over the fsx code. I mean, not to sound like they're incompetent or anything, but how would they benefit from an upgrade patch for example? Sell it for $30 per download? Is it even legal to alter fsx to the point of rock bottom game code? David Zambrano, CFII, CPL, IGI I know there's a lot of money in aviation because I put it there.
September 11, 201312 yr It would be pretty epic! Unlikely I think though. It's like wishing that NASA would update the earth! (yes, I did just liken PMDG to NASA, and with good reason Jesse Casserly ✌🏼️ https://www.youtube.com/user/JesseCasserly757 💻 i7-10750H 2.6 GHz / 5.0 GHz, 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD, 1TB HDD, RTX 2080 Super Saitek X-56 HOTAS
September 11, 201312 yr If two planes took over 4 years to make, then we would be looking at the year 2095 for their simulator. Andrew Thomas
September 11, 201312 yr Commercial Member How about we milk FSX dry of its potential (there is still a heck of a lot of possibilities) and once that is done we can start begging for a new sim ey? September 11, 201312 yr I think PMDG should also solve the crisis in Syria, cure cancer, and put a man on Mars.
