September 16, 201312 yr ...not hearing anything from LES this weekend put me in a state of depression :( , in order to easy the pain I took the JS32 up for a spin which by the way did the trick and brought me back with a happy face  ...but, THIS WAITING IS DRIVING ME CRAZY! :help: Come on LES, Goran, please give us an update!!!! :Waiting: Windows 11 - Samsung 990 Pro M.2 | Asus Prime Z690 | i7 12700KF HT | DeepCool LS520 SE | MSI 5070 Ti Ventus OC | 64GB G.Skill XMP II | Lian Li 216 LANCOOL RGB | TrackIr v5 | Honeycomb Alfa - Bravo - Charlie | MSFS 2024 - Samsung 990 Pro M.2 | Curved 27" MSI | JBL Quantum 810
September 16, 201312 yr Goran is adding additional functinalities to the GPS, to allow for sort of RNAV capabilities. Check at X-Pilot's site - looks cool! September 16, 201312 yr Author Getting very close, though. Thanks Goran for taking the time to give us an update, very much appreciated. September 16, 201312 yr  It's not only an update... it's an update with a progress bar ! I guess some people will now count the number of "-", calculate the percent of the progress, and estimate the remaining time after searching when Goran said it's "far from being finished". :LMAO: Georges - OpenStreetMap - Ubuntu GNU/Linux -
September 16, 201312 yr  It's not only an update... it's an update with a progress bar ! I guess some people will now count the number of "-", calculate the percent of the progress, and estimate the remaining time after searching when Goran said it's "far from being finished". :LMAO: The answer I came up with is eleventy. Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?
September 16, 201312 yr The answer I came up with is eleventy. Well, "When will the Saab be released?" is a very spiritual question, and in keeping with any attempt to put a numerical value on an ontological proposition, the answer must be 42. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
September 18, 201312 yr Goran, I've been thinking about this a lot lately, does the SAAB take into account the excessive torque induced roll in it's FM? There's been a fair amount of discussion about this recently and I've been swayed to think that there's a valid point to consider ...
September 18, 201312 yr Commercial Member The torque roll "bug" in the Saab is non-existent. Took care of it about a year ago.
September 18, 201312 yr For Goran ... :Big Grin:   :im Not Worthy: Well, "When will the Saab be released?" is a very spiritual question, and in keeping with any attempt to put a numerical value on an ontological proposition, the answer must be 42. @MdMax, PWJT8D & Scotchegg ... ROFLMAO !! Droll .. very droll!
September 18, 201312 yr I just noticed this topic and also realized that nobody is getting worked up about the delay as you might see in the FSX forums. I am still excited about the forthcoming delivery of the Saab 340. Thanks! Keith Keith Guillory
September 18, 201312 yr I just noticed this topic and also realized that nobody is getting worked up about the delay as you might see in the FSX forums. I am still excited about the forthcoming delivery of the Saab 340. Thanks! Keith I think this is because LES has communicated not only that there will be a short delay but also the reasons for it. They have managed peoples expectations well. Jason E Row Follow me on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/user/JasonRowPhotography
September 19, 201312 yr Goran is adding additional functinalities to the GPS, to allow for sort of RNAV capabilities. Check at X-Pilot's site - looks cool! I hope LES could consider a spin-off replacement for the completely ***C*** default GPS in X-Plane. For the life of me, I don't understand what is the reasoning behind that. Back to the topic, I can take the wait, the 777s are keeping me busy at the moment. Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system. MSFS2020, XP-12, DCS
September 19, 201312 yr AFAIK the GPS in the SAAB isn't a fully featured affair (I don't think it was ever meant to be because it's not technically 'realistic' for that aircraft .. I could be wrong!) .. so don't expect an X-Reality Garmin430 type of gadget .. it will allow you to follow a RNAV route .. just like the default XP Garmin does . I think that the biggest issue people may have with the default XP GPS is that it only offers a very simplistic subset of what the Garmin 430 is capable ... so people view it as an inadequate toy. This perception is probably exacerbated by the availability of the XReality Garmin flavours that do provide near complete functionality (they're actually simulators in their own right) .. unfortunately only available as 32bit software and there's been no indication that they will develop for XP 64 bit ... Yes .. it would be nice if someone eventually creates a fully featured GPS in XP .. and I think that will happen one day!
September 19, 201312 yr I sure hope you are correct about this-a lack of a current rw simulated gps is kinda a deal breaker for me for the sim. Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
