September 22, 201312 yr Well things have finally progressed to the point to warrant an update to you all. Right now we have a fully functional UI, MAC/PC support in both 64-32bit glory and a few complement of tweaks for you to enjoy. I am just going to post a few screenies highlighting our progress..... First thing is first here is a look at the UI, this has developed directly VIA feedback I have got from the community. Its pretty straight forward and gives a good amount of control over performance and visual settings. Don't pay attention to those numbers they are only there for the support document.... And on with the series...... And a new one just for AVSIM...

September 22, 201312 yr What exactly are the differences between the default? Are these just different clouds?
September 22, 201312 yr Author To be clear its a complete re-do of the plugin engine via a plugin...... This gives us way more control over how the clouds are presented in X-Plane 10. With that said a big feature is now the clouds move with wind speed and direction.....

September 22, 201312 yr Author The clouds can get pretty large. These puppies are procedurally drawn and randomized using an algorithm that approximates cloud formations. With that said a benefit to this approach is it allows the clouds to morph and change depending on the weather conditions.......just like the real thing....
September 22, 201312 yr Stunning!!! That last shot sold me. 100%75%50%d8a34be0e82d98b5a45ff4336cd0dddc Patrick
September 22, 201312 yr Author any eta on release date? Well not a solid date but I held off posting much for awhile because we were not close......with that said we are very close now....within a few weeks close.....

I see that the interface contains the ability to indicate a minimum and maximum cloud size. By setting the Minimum cloud size far to the left and the Maximum cloud size far to the right, will be result be a very large variety in cloud size, which will depict the sky with greater realism? Depends on the end-user mostly, what some perceive as realistic others may have a different idea all together. Same applies to sky colors........The UI is tailored to try and give everyone an option they can be comfortable with.... Stunning!!! That last shot sold me. Yeah that shot is highlighting the crepuscular rays...... Ill be honest the God Rays are the most expensive FPS element in this cloud engine but well worth the expense.....
September 22, 201312 yr Commercial Member I see that changing sky colors requires a restart. Do any of the other adjustments require a restart? REX AccuSeason Developer REX Simulations
September 22, 201312 yr Author I see that changing sky colors requires a restart. Do any of the other adjustments require a restart? goto special "show sky colors" and hit the "reload cloud colors" button.......easy as pie.... I wanted to include that into the UI but the dataref isnt exposed...maybe in an update
