December 13, 201312 yr Which sim has the best physics??XP or FSX/P3D???? Honestly I never felt like I was really flying in any of the FS titles or P3D without things like Accufeel or EZDock.Just feels like I'm floating. The feeling of speed was never there in FS titles/P3D unless you zoom all the way out and use wideaspect near terrain Asus Maximus X Hero Z370/ Windows 10 MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled) 8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled) 32GB DDR4 3000 Ram 500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2

December 14, 201312 yr Some of you need to think of confessing. P3DV2.0 is very well done. You are at fault for not running the program on a proper system and not with non-compatible addons. Your expectations have made you bitter but it is your fault for not taking it slowly and maturely. Having been through the FSX wars/evolution It became obvious to me that I might have to set my sliders as I did in FSX. I accept that, and know that spending money will solve most problems. However, ranting and tweaking is a waste. I run V2.0 on a clean load with no tweaks. I get 40 FPS in ORBX Pacific Northwest and Northern Rock Mountains. Yes there are anomalies but that is expected until ORBX makes changes. If you are having issues set sliders to the left, no tweaks and no addons. THEN see what happens. My guess is that most issues disappear except for some really low-end or quite old systems. You will have to spend money to move to this new level. Only a FOOL would think otherwise. Stop the tweaks, fancy addons, Inspector adjustments, etc. and enjoy what you have within the limits of your system. regards, Dick near Pittsburgh, USA
December 14, 201312 yr Your telling me my computer is not good, I run the wrong settings. I dont think so son! Somes expectations are just higher than others and mine is high!
December 14, 201312 yr P3D V2.n only! I have no complaints. I accept my system is only mid-range and thus sliders are mid range. After years of battling FSX with tweaks, addons, etc it dawned on me that patience would bring more rewards than childish moaning and ranting. I find the features of the program enjoyable but there are some issues that will eventually be solved. After all, the product is being sold primarily to flight schools and the government. If you do not see the value in that well -----. regards, Dick near Pittsburgh, USA
December 15, 201312 yr P3DV2 for GA--hard to beat the visuals & performance in areas where I do GA flying. FSX for the big birds out of heavy terminals. Right now I can't see how V2 will handle PMDG stuff if and when it gets there. There are some airport add ons (FB's KPHX is my one example) that perform very poorly in V2, DO NOT access the GPU well, and this I'm assuming has something to do w/ how KPHX was coded rather than the complexity in itself. My guess is that the T7 will really blow at KPHX, whereas w/ FSX it runs reasonably well there. December 15, 201312 yr It looks as though the ones that have P3DV2 has 100% primary or sole are GA flyers. I wish it was 100% but im more of an airliner pilot, and right now there isnt a whole lot of airliner compatibility. Hope it changes soon, because I so want to use P3DV2 100%. It is time we have a successor to FSX. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
December 16, 201312 yr 100% P3D2 despite all the issues/bugs But LM is actively working on them, which is awesome and all we can ask them to do as a community. Tom "I just wanna tell you both: good luck. We're all counting on you."
December 18, 201312 yr Right now only P3Dv2. It is simply more beautiful than FSX. But I feel like honeymoon perioed is getting over and I start to miss NGX. NGX in Dx10 was very beautiful too. Yuji Y

Not quite sure why this post was voted negatively, because it is an honest assessment of the reality of the situation. P3D V2.n only! I have no complaints. If you do not see the value in that well -----. I think here you have hit the nail firmly on the head - mid-range systems! And this is where P3Dv2 really does shine for people like me. I can get a better experience out of the box than I ever could with FSX because the workload is being spread across the cpu and gpu (a mere GTX560Ti). Interestingly, even though I have installed my "mystery" 737 and the Airbus, I can't be bothered using them any more because I am enjoying the GA experience. So much more atmosphere plus the challenge of going back to school to relearn the basics. Guess I just got tired of pushing buttons for the past 10 years or so. I can live without my addons for a long time, because there is so much new stuff to explore.
December 18, 201312 yr P3D2 exclusively these days. FSX started giving me a second batch of ntd.dll crashes about 2 weeks before P3D2 was released - my fix the first time round didn't help the second time round. FSX lying dormant now on a HD and I'm loving the non-popping autogen, the shadows and even the default clouds in P3D (until I see what REX 4 has in store for textures perhaps). Just waiting patiently for ASN for P3D2 now. Regards and Season's Greetings, Sim. Paul Davies.
December 19, 201312 yr I had P3D 1.x and am now on 2.0. It's an outstanding achievement and I'm very impressed with almost everything about it, but am holding back from a full migration until a couple of patches down the line, due to issues and the present incompatibilities with addons. At the moment my P3D is default, apart from FSGlobal Ultimate, FlyTampa Dubai and Dino's Goshawk all of which are compatible. I still maintain FSX for the sake of all my existing addons but have found it very hard to go back to after experiencing P3D. I fly almost exclusively in P3D.
December 19, 201312 yr I have started the first steps for moving to P3D, I've had enough with FSX. Once PMDG get their licenses sorted out then I will purchase the simulator. I have bought an SSD primarily for P3D and hope to do a fresh clean install of Windows 7 onto it. Getting rid of the old slow HDD. In the meantime I will have to stick with FSX, as much as I don't want to its better than nothing.
