FS 9.95 never looked so good.

I need to make a completely new panel with better perspectives.

Does the windshield wiper always have this position? For me, it would neutralize the calming effect of this green interiour colour...

By the way, where were you departing from on your flight to Sochi?

  • Well I am assuming the thread title is a typo! Nobody got beyond here as far as I know! Good idea for a thread, I happened to pop some screens while looking through aircraft for the Best Freeware A

  • What happened to this thread? I am more into moving pics with sound (not music) than stills now but hey let's see some pics.

  • Here's some old screenshots from around last year. Unfortunately, I go through FS phases due to real life commitments and I'm happy to report that I've been actively flying FS9 for the past few weeks

I would like to see modellers use a gazillon polygons
One lives in hope...

As a "flyer": Engine intakes (and especially from VC view even if there is no VC) make an airliner.

When you take a screenshot or video from the passenger perspective, this can make such a difference!

Also, in GA or military, the VC windshield framing is what you are looking at, and making a smooth curve out of this is surely a prime candidate for a gazillion polygons!

Yes this is the parked position for the wipers.

The flight was made 7 years ago (I hope my video making skills have improved since then!)

Domodedevo to Sochi. I really would like to do justice to this amazing sim with a new custom panel.

with a new custom panel.

And a FS9 version of MDesigns UUDD wouldn't be bad, too.

In the meantime, I also went "Tupolev". EDDP-LHBP: It was certainly not my best flight, but I think the plane and I can get friends:

Nice... I do love the wide stance of these Tupolevs

Is the panel one of Ed' as well?

How could?

No, this panel comes with the SCS Tu-134. It's obviously the same bitmap that they use since their version 1.0. And I can't get rid of the Bort (registration) number, because I don't find out which format they actually use. Every time I save the edited bitmap (after editing via DXTBmp), it's black or unvisible

What I see when looking out of the window - their opening mechanism is fantastic:

Well, it seems you need lots of those in the winter months:

That Tupolev cockpit is SO Russian. =)

Yes, but why did I learn Russian at school??? :P

But you're right, an English manual would be fine. I hope our mate Tushka doesn't let himself discourage and makes good progress.

And I always thought they would use the thrust reversers...

The best is - one gets to know a lot of new liveries and places.

I know that is the SCS Tu-134, but what version are you using? I tried v2.0 but had to dump it because it kept dying as soon as I started the sim. I went back to the 1.2 version.

The nivida settings are tricky depending on your system etc. Usually I have 4 or 8 x ms set with 2 or 4 sgssaa and 16xf. I was experimenting with 8xQ and forget to set it back. Even with 4 x sgssaa it ran pretty good. Locked everywhere except I just flew into several oc layers into KJKF where it dropped to low 20's. so acceptable.

So it pays to experiment. I've tried a zillion settings. Some don't seem to different.

You could try 4 x multi sample and 2 x sparse grid super sample and see what that does.

Ouch!  I gave it a shot but no go.  I don't know why AA hits my system so hard.  At 8x MSAA, I notice a slight drop in frames.  If I add anything else to it, it gets much worse.  So I've settled back on 8xCSAA.

As for the DC-10, I think the CLS one is supposed to be the best version for FS9.  There's a new one coming out soon, but it's for FSX.

If you're not picky about VC graphics and flying a "lite" aircraft, it's definitely worth it just to fly the 10.  External model is excellent and the liveries are awesome.  I also got the livery expansion pack.

It's not a complex add on, but I like the DC-10 so much that the CLS is still probably my most flown aircraft.

The PMDG MD-11 is the best if you want a complex tri-jet.

Flying around in mild storms near SeaTac.

No idea what the fireworks are for...

(MegaScenery Pacific Northwest 2005, Active Sky 7, default plane)

Nice shot.  If I remember correctly, you'll see fireworks in the sim on new years eve and a few other special occasions in some major cities.

Nature Boy

I use the v 2.0 indeed. What problem occured exactly with the plane in your sim?

I suffered from the "battery not charging" problem initially, but the hotfix from the Russian Avsim forum cured it. Currently I try to add flap vortices, but without success so far.

I have had the battery not charging problem. I tried to download the hotfix at the russian avsim site but kept getting errors, then I tired again (after a few days to a week) and it said the files are no longer available.
