March 20, 201412 yr Guys/gals, I realize some of my responses are coming across as short or confrontational or just pissy and wanted to apologize. It is not my intent at all. For those who know me you know I have had some health issues over the years including a hip replacement 3 years ago. Well the hip failed and I had total revision surgery 3 weeks ago tomorrow. In addition to replacing my prosthetic they had to intentionally slice a tendon which connects your femur to your spine. Needless to say mentally and physically this has been very tough. I have not slept properly in weeks, am still restricted to bed and am doing my best to stay positive minute by minute hour by hour day by day. While I realize this is not an excuse or a justification I did want to provide a bit of background if I am coming across as rude or short with anyone. I also wanted to apologize to anyone who feels I have been anything less than polite to them. I can assure you I respect everyone here as well as everyone's opinions so if my behavior has not reflected that I sincerely apologize. Mea Culpa, apologies and all the best to everyone. Apologies again, Paul Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
March 20, 201412 yr Hang in there, Paul. Health issues are no fun, and this one sounds like it's less fun than most. I guess a lot of us are to that age where health problems crop up a lot. Thanks for the insight, in any case. And best wishes. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

March 20, 201412 yr Hey Paul, a few years ago we experienced the worse fate any parent can experience. Since then I always give people the benefit of the doubt, as we never know what is happening in someone elses lives. As human beings we have to deal with many upsets, trauma and tragedies on our journey, so for me Paul, you be as pissy as you like! :lol: I wish you well and hope you make a good recovery. March 20, 201412 yr Sorry to hear about the hip, Paul. I'm headed for a replacement myself. My mother (a Brit) always used to say "keep a stiff upper lip." Of course, she never had a hip replacement!. I've found the aging process to be very painful. Good luck to you. Things will get better. Bill W.

March 20, 201412 yr Paul, don't worry about it, I am old, get cranky, often have lots of pain, swelling feet, all the joy, with no doubt who knows what lurking ahead. It's fine to vent here when you need to, Tom will whack-a-mole us if we get out of line. Hope you start to feel better soon, it hasn't helped that the weather has been challenging on top of it all.

March 20, 201412 yr All the best Paul. If it makes you feel any better, I too sometimes get snotty on the forum due to health issues, so I know what your saying. If i find myself getting up anyone's nose, i give myself a darn good thrashing and go and fly. We have a great community, and from time to time I have to remind myself of that. All the best.
