Sorry, Rob, I have no luck with the search!

Can we please have the "Long version" where to find those Folders? I have my P3D2 installed in a seperate drive called I:/ (not C: where the OS sits).

P3Dv2 installers sure do like computing space requirements

God I hate that; incompetent installer design.

Cycling74 does the same thing for their itty-bitty Max updates; 6MB install but it has to churn through 600 gigabytes of data "to make sure."  It's a leftover from the days when hard drives were 10MB large, I think that was 1986?

Wow. Just wow. Did a fresh install and update the nvidia drivers to the new beta's. On high settings (without addons though) the frame rates seems much much better, at around 60 fps on high settings (GTX 780) with cloud shadows, which are great by the way. Perhaps it is the higher frame rates but it looks smoother as well. Enjoy!

What's your shadow draw distance setting set at?

How does 2.2 react to the new "wonder drivers" still the same issues with shadows?

As someone new to the P3D world, what "Issues" were experienced at the release of 2.1 and are anticipated here?

The rain in that one of those ORBX screenshots looks good. Has there been changes to rain and snow?

For those who had the beta, any recommended settings for those new shadow sliders?

This are the settings I currently use: http://www.robainscough.com/Prepar3D_Settings_2.html (based on 2.2 Beta, release may vary) but these are based on my hardware (i7 3960x @ 4.8Ghz - 32GB RAM @ 2133Mhz - 1 Titan 6GB - 3TB SSDs) with a goal frame rate of 30 fps.  I can't recommend for anything other than what I have, everyone's hardware is different as are their visual goals, so you'll have to experiment and compromise.

Cheers, Rob.

That's good to know, may have to give it a try -- I have OpusFSX, FSGRW, but not ASN ... also waiting for REX Weather engine as it will configure one's texture set for best possible weather conditions.

30 miles. further seems to impact but is hardly visible.

If your OS is installed on C: drive (Lockheed Martin's main P3D installation location is not relevant here).  And replace "Rob" with whatever name you gave your OS user account.

Example:

C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
C:\Users\Rob\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
C:\Users\Rob\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
C:\Users\Rob\Documents\Prepar3D v2 Files

Installation instructions are on LM's web site here: http://www.prepar3d.com/Prepar3D_Download_and_Install_Instructions_v2.pdf

Cheers, Rob.

Hey Rob,

Your Shadow Options is way different from what I have.  Are those from the Beta? I have Terrain and Cloud etc on my end.  Do you have a new screenshot

Thanks for all your your epic work over the last few days

Are those from the Beta?

Yes, edited my message.  Will update later, haven't spent much time on 2.2 release version yet.
