We've been waiting for what we reckon is a stable and reasonably lasting P3d version and the number of customers wanting a proper conversion has increased in the last month or so. It is true that some of our products work ok, but with limitations on our special effects which are a very important part of the Legacy and Dukes. We've finally found a way around these limitations so we feel reasonably confident we can produce decent P3d installers for our aircraft.

There will be a small charge for this, because we have invested quite a long time in finding solutions for the current limitations, and of course existing customers will need whole new downloads on top of our generous re-downloading/re-install allowance. Bandwidth and web costs are always rising and we feel it is fair to ask for a commensurate fee.

We'll also be working on the GTN gauge integration as a further option to the current RXP integration, but we are unclear yet as to how we will work this (whether it will be for P3d only or also for FSX customers). We'll try to do both but we need to keep our costs down to avoid charging more than a nominal fee to cover them.

We will be announcing all this shortly on our webpage, together with a decision about the C172.

Thanks for your interest.

Best Wishes,

Once they fix the clouds killing fps in p3d 2.3 I'll probably end up getting the GTN for P3D, especially if it integrates with RA's stuff.  But I'm still not excited about the navdata portion...  there needs to be a more feasible way to do it.

Good news, Rob. What about Mindstar VC integration?

Cheers,

Hi Todd,

The GTN gauge requests from our customers have outnumbered any other by a vast amount, so we'll be sticking with GTN integration for the time being.

PM me reference updated RXP data
I have Mindstar Aviation's GNS 530 and data from RealNav my friend, I can't use RXP in P3D.

I think this topic got merged or maybe I just can't read.... but yeah no RXP in P3D - hopefully more and more will integrate GTN gauges.

This is great news!  Thanks for sharing.

Cheers, Rob.

Good to hear well then I wont try and use the FSX to P3D import tool to get my realair planes into P3D i will wait until the P3D versions are out and purchase them again.

The website was updated with the Prepar3D and GTN announcements, and I also noticed the "Coming Soon" page was taken down. So I guess that's the end of the C172.  :(

O boy, native P3D installers with GTN integration options for the Legacy, Duke and (may be the scout?)

Can't wait, so I'm ready to purchase the upgrades.

The GTN gauges look fantastic and would be great additions to the turbine Duke but I just don't get the fact that each GTN unit for P3D costs $20 more than the FSX versions. All the while, the F1 technologies page states they are for entertainment use only. Not starting a debate so please don't go there (although I just did... :/ ). Just stating an opinion.

I'm glad to see RealAir embrace P3D. Rob and crew make some of the best GA planes out there.

Hey, Rob, since the C172 project looks to be on hold, what about focusing on a popular multi-engine trainer like the Piper Seminole? That would be an immediate purchase for me. Not having a good Seminole for FSX/P3D is a bummer.

Hang on a minute. Flight1 sell addons for P3D? I thought their philosophy was that they would die before turning to the dark side?

I agree with you here... It's just a marketing thing... In case of the GTN gauges I suspect making the gauges work in p3d is easy.... Yet they charge more... Licensing I guess argh
