What FSX Product do you Want Santa to Bring?

Featured Replies

Well this year I am asking Santa for something simple:

NGX with a working weather radar.

All I want for Christmas is an update on the PMDG 744v2.  A screenshot or two or ten would be even better!

It will come, Chris, it will come.

(Just like Christmas 2015. :P)

I have been keeping an eye on the QW 787. It does interest me but I wonder how much systems depth it will have. I have the 757 but it is too simplistic for my liking.

EDIT: Same for the A380

The BAe146/Avroliners have a good deal more system depth than their B757. So one may hope for their B787?

What happened to AVSIM

1. ORBX openLC North America (one can still hope)

2. Qualitywings 787

3. Carenado Cessna Citation II S550

Simulator: P3Dv6.1

System Specs: Intel i7 13700K CPU, MSI Mag Z790 Tomahawk Motherboard, 32GB DDR5 6000MHz RAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Video Card, 3x 1TB Samsung 980 Pro M.2 2280 SSDs, Windows 11 Home OS

Based on what I saw and heard during the Quality Wings presentation at the recent Cosford 2014 flightsim show, I am pretty sure that the systems depth of the QW787 will be more complex than anything they have released to date. Cory mentioned that they have changed their slogan to "Complexity Not So Simplified" I suspect that you may be pleasantly surprised by this one.

That would be nice!

Well if that is the case I will definitely be buying this aircraft because I love the 787. I have been to Boeing Field a number of times to watch the bird takeoff and land and it is simply an amazing aircraft. Thank you for your first hand report. I will be watching for this one as well.

Tis' true Ollie   If Santa can't deliver some screenshots in the next 22 days, surely we'll see some (or maybe even be flying the finished 744v2) by next Christmas!

I think I remember a good few weeks back there was talk from reliable sources that Prepar3D V2.5 would materialize before the end of the year:-)

But I don't know what that will bring. Yet more performance improvement? Hopefully:-)

I am undecided about EDDF. I am almost thinking I will wait for the Flightbeam version. Their airports are spectacular. I read that Taxi2Gate is about two days away from releasing VHHH. I have a side deal with Santa where he will bring me early presents special delivery.   :P

AS much as I want a new EDDF I will wait patiently for the Flightbeam version since I know I will be guaranteed good performance and I can try before I buy. I've been burned too many times with Aerosoft's large hubs that don't perform well and they have no trial or refund period if not satisfied.

I tried the Flightbeam KIAD and KSFO and I couldn't see any visual docking aids. I like to have realistic visual docking aids and I know Aerosoft has them.

Since Xmas came a little early for me this year with the brilliant F-14 package that Aerosoft just released, I'll ask for some non-existent stuff:

  • A perfect ATC program.  One that perfectly handles VFR, SID & STAR's, and heck, why not helicopters and military stuff while we're at it. Also, it must speak in perfectly natural tones. ^_^
  • A DHC-2 Beaver produced to current standards, by someone such as A2A, Milviz, or RealAir.
  • HTR profiles for every helicopter I'd like to fly. (I know these can be user created but my attempts fail spectacularly...)
  • A TacPack upgrade that introduces hostile AI aircraft.

I could also ask for stuff that I know I'm going to have to wait until next year for:

  • The HD upgrade to the Dodosim 206.
  • Crossfill for the F1 GTN gauges.

Or for stuff that I could get right now, but can't justify spending the money on:

  • Proper cyclic and collective for heli flying.
  • A column yoke.
  • A 40" 4K monitor running at 60hz, along with a beastly upgrade to drive it.

Not all that much to ask Santa for, is it?

You forgot "with Flight Service integration"...but it's okay.  :)
