Example why PMDG rather not give release dates, which is a very good thing to do! Are you going to get GTA 5? If so, you probably have counted down a several times already, but they will delay it every time. Annoyed already? Better to get it unexpected without release date

Speaking as someone who worked many a weekend back when I worked in the airlines:

Granted, we're currently working on a Friday night to help get the plane out the door, but a few moments of reflection could've answered that question for you. I have a feeling you didn't mean that offensively, but really...

 

I actually work almost 43 hours over Sat, Sun, Mon. I wouldn't mind waiting for a Tuesday release...

...the last day early in the morning. I hop off the crewbus, see this big beauty. The lines of a B738, what smoother can you see? I asked myself. Up the airstair into the plane, no time to loose, dispatching wants me in the air, and to be honest, I want it too... thinking about the roaring CFM's in climb, that little flat on the downside of the cowlings, just nice. Into the cockpit, ah that smell, like a new car but better. She looks old and used, but this is experience, I trust her. My FO already have made the electrical power up. Lets align the IRS, I feel tempted to say good morning to her. I better do that when I stand behind my seat, not much space in the cockpit, but not small, it is cozy I want to say. Now I glide into my seat, feel the fur on the seat, comfortable.

My FO now give me the news about the plane. "Captain, good news, the mechanics have done a great job, the WX radar is now working again."

I say "Aaah good to hear, bad weather can come, thank you" I look down to the pedestal and yes, no INOP sticker. The day can come.

 

...then I wake up and check the AVSIM forum for news :-)

This illness is becoming contagious, this thread needs to be quarantined before anybody else gets infected lol.

I'm waiting slightly impatiently as well. Seems like a very good 737 model to use as a training aid for the type rating course.
