Is Xplane superior to FSX?

This question is sure to start a flame war. If you want an opinion, check out YouTube videos not older than a year, or download the demo for yourself and try it out.

I will say this: X-Plane has superior physics, and superior computer resource management (i.e. multiple CPU cores, 64-bit support).

X-Plane also has a higher freeware-payware ratio than does FSX. I'll leave you to make of that what you will.

Hehe, I see. I'll try to avoid making a ps vs xbox like discussion out of this.

Think I'll just stick to FSX then, as I don't use it often enough to start with something new.

Thanks for the feedback.

But Xplane has an awful weather engine and hardly any high quality addons..... PMDG will show us how much potential the platform has or hasn't got.

Please don't let this XPlane stuff devolve into the typically ridiculous argument that usually comes out of these discussions.

FSX v XPlane

Boeing v Airbus

Ford v Chevy

Caps v Pens

Red Socks v Yankees

Die Bayern v Die Borussen

None of those arguments go anywhere.
