Reminds me of the happy days of criticising Atari ST users, Amiga master-race here!

Unless you played/recorded music with MIDI equipment; Steinberg Cubase was first released for the Atari ST which had built in MIDI ports. Atari ST RULES!!!! Well at least it did back in the day. All my music composition is now done on the same i7 based PC that serves as my FSX system.

Just to clarify my 'newbie' comment..

We all know that Steam is one on the largest, if not THE largest distributor of games.

In my (humble) opinion, it is great that Dovetail is using Steam to re-distribute the game, as it becomes available to the existing FSX user base, as well as a wole new base, consisting of the the new gamers on the Steam platform that, when trying/playing with FSX:SE can be regarded as 'newbies'

No disparagement to us 'oldies' at all! :-)

Every time I see the theme of "this sim vs. that sim" in the forums a little tune goes through my head...

"But he can't be a man 'cause he doesn't fly - the same flightsim as me..."

Seems like a lot of talk about something that legally excludes the vast majority(?) of us:

Don't confuse the issue sweetmusic!

I finally had enough of FSX so installed P3D yesterday.  My final straw was pressing "FTX DAY" then suddenly FSX wouldn't open.. so decided to "fix it", then said stuff it going to delete everything..  Out of the box it looks pretty good.  Will need to play around with it next weekend and get some addons installed...

Fun times ahead :-)

Let us know how you make out Brent. Interesting that it is usable out of the box...
