Heads up : the superb rendition by VRS of the VRS F/A-18E and its tacpack has finally been release for P3D academic ! I'm just downloading it !!!

Still didn't get my Titan X (there's a shortage in Europe). At least VRS gave me a nice Easter weekend present !!

Well, at least there's one more regularly used item that I can use in P3D if I ever make the complete switch.  Even with the discounts, however, it wouldn't be a move I'd do lightly; I'd forgotten how much the Superbug+TacPack combo cost.

Edit:  I didn't think I paid that much for the FSX versions; it looks like the P3D versions are quite a bit more expensive.

The P3D version is indeed more expensive. Looks like $100 with up to a $20 discount for previous FSX customers. However, it only works for academic licenses, and not professional or professional plus. This means that if you have to professional version you have to drop another $60 on an academic license, or possibly buy a much more expensive Superbug in the future for the professional license.

I love P3D but I feel like this whole licensing thing is just a f***ing cash grab from everyone. Same code, same product which you already bought, just repackaged for a platform which is already cross compatible and sold to you at the full price again (if not more expensive!). It has left me feeling a lot of negativity towards developers I once respected.

Are you sure that  Is possible to buy Superbug (after buying an academic licence for P3D) and install Superbug in P3D pro with the licence of P3D academic ?

I guess that won´t work (and is a breach of EULA apparently).

Anyway, I´ve just waited on this to make the jump over to P3D.

For FSX you could just purchase the SuperBug.

But, as I understand their sales page ..

the P3D Superbug requires the TacPack purchase also (cannont just purchase the Superbug alone) .. correct?

Wonder why?

You can buy it without TacPack.

That is good.

Wonder why their sales page says it is required in their prerequisites section?

Guess they changed it for P3D. I own both for FSX.

From your post I assumed that you had already purchased it for P3D2.5 ..

The installer for FSX gives you an option to install the superbug for use with or without tacpack. I haven't bought it yet. All these releases for P3D and draining my bank account lol.

I have both for FSX also.

But, this topic is all about the SuperBug for P3D.

Well, this sucks... Academic only. Guess I won't be buying it.
