Well, I broke down after reading all the posts on the other thread and downloaded the Orbx trees yesterday. So I've been flying around the last couple days looking them over. Previously I had the Zinertek trees for some time and I was very happy with them. I must admit though I think the Orbx trees are a touch nicer. What pushed me over the top was today I flew to MYAT to check out the tropical stuff. And I must say the palm trees do look quite a bit more realistic, especially the trunks. As for performance change, I fly bizjets and GA into interesting scenery with everything maxed out and I rarely see below 30, which is where my system is pegged. All in all I'd give Zinertek trees a solid A and the Orbx A+.

A great screenshot, as usual, Rich! :good:

Do you have TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD set to 2048?

Beautiful Rich!  I also love how much better the palm trees look, like what silverheels said

I agree. Some of the ORBX models look  better than the equivalent Zinertek models. But both make an improvement in immersion.

Cant remember just a random airport in the UK - does look pretty good - Titan X starting to shine was not that impressed until I got some things sorted out - now pretty happy just have to upgrade cpu eventually
