July 13, 201510 yr My normal method, when I create a flight at the gate on ground air/elect, is to save the flight in the same turn-around configuration at the other end. Then at the other end, I start up with whatever fluids are remaining and continue on the either the return leg or onward. I've picked up on Flightaware's flight page, upper right, they have a link to the inbound flight. Using that link, you can follow the airplane through it's duties over the course of a few to many days. Then build the daisey-chain to start at the first location and use same times, gates and routes. It's a way to add interest. This works well with the NGX too. I've built some long chains for SWA all in one day. That's a real challenge. Dan Downs KCRP
July 13, 201510 yr Hats off to you guys who can fly those ober long routes real time. I guess that's why I prefer NGX. T7 is a fun bird though. Real times does not mean necessarily being all time in front of the computer, at least for me -_- FS2024
July 13, 201510 yr I am enjoying the hell out of this bird, I just came off a two week vacation, since there was a lot of work that needed to be done at home we didn't go anywhere. my plan was to fly all these legs over the break and I sure did. These are just great circle distances and time estimates, but i logged some serious time on the T7. All my landings were manully flown from around 10K on down, except KSAN and KBFI. In KSAN there was a solid overcast once i crossed the mountains so I let the auto pilot take me down till I broke through at 3k feet. At KBFI, I was anticipating a south landing based on the prevailing winds, but when I got close enough to pick up ATIS, i found out KBFI and KSEA were both landing north, and I was too high, so i had to go into an aggressive descent profile, once I got down to the point where I intercepted the GS, i took over and manually drove her in. I was really proud to the get 'stable approach" call at 1000 feet on this landing. Love the T7, thnx PMDG!!! July 13, 201510 yr sorry I just can't get the formatting right. Try using the code feature " < > " as it is shown in the Reply to this Topic toolbar. Never tried taking the 777 into KSAN San Diego, after coming in over the buildings barely clearing the guy standing on top having a smoke break the runway seems much shorter than it really is. July 13, 201510 yr I don't care that much about liveries as I fly exclusively from the VCSome livery come with accurate equipment and cockpit config, though. So I always fly livery accurate flight if I can.
July 14, 201510 yr I always fly a livery but I've wondered if the house paint gives any noticeable performance improvements. Anyone? Vic green
July 14, 201510 yr Commercial Member I always fly a livery but I've wondered if the house paint gives any noticeable performance improvements. Anyone? I highly doubt it. Once it's loaded, it's loaded. Compared to the GB worth of scenery being loaded, and objects being rendered, the aircraft livery is pretty negligible. Kyle Rodgers

And I respect most of them, at least the ones which effect the performances, like the fixed derates options chosen or not by some companies. For instance, Air France has them but not Emirates. July 14, 201510 yr Hi Dan - thnx for the tip, was running out to catch a train yesterday so I missed it, but will keep it in mind for the future. I was inspired to take the T7 into KSAN after seeing a British Airways 747-400 go in there back in 1998. I was in San Diego honeymooning w/ my wife and while driving by the airport I watched a Speedbird flight drop in - it was pretty cool. All the times I've flown there in the 737 I've used the RNAV into Rnwy 9 with a step down approach, this time with the T7 I flew the localizer approach - the parking garage is always scary though!! Sean Campbell It'll be right under the call sign if FlightAware has the information to track it (which I believe is based on the tail number). Different airlines file in different ways, so that is probably why you're not seeing it for SWA. Kyle Rodgers
July 15, 201510 yr The 777 is a stunning aircraft and atm enjoying flying the 77F with FexEx v. Nothing comes close to a PMDG for large aircraft. David Murden. Sean Campbell Like Kyle said, second small font line under large font flight identification upper right, link says (Track Inbound Flight) if exists. I've used it with SWA flights, but not all flights will have it. I had a screen shot cropped and ready to post but remembered that AVSIM procedures involved using a photo hosting site and I'm not prone go through all that extra advertising just for a screen shot. That's what I do. "...but Google mines your data!" Yeah, compared to the FAA requiring my address and medical to be public record (well, more thanks to Congress on that one, but hey), and the OPM allowing more than enough of my sensitive personal data to be leaked, Google is the least of my worries. Plus, if you can pull coherent metrics out of my search, web use, and email, more power to you... Kyle Rodgers
