September 29, 201510 yr While ATIS is quite a lot of information from ATC, we have to actually contact ATC to know which runway left or right, ramp, and directions. But if we are going to be that procedurally precise, why not just use VATSIM.

September 29, 201510 yr Speedtree is a product that is now being used by Prepar3D to render all of it's trees. Hm, but Orbx overwrites all trees afaik... I wonder how that is going to work out. Anyway, I had a look at Rob's video and er... I am very disappointed to see ground textures still being loaded nearby. I thought v3 would offer a great LOD radius for everything but it seems we still have to live with obvious texture loading, which is my major gripe with the current sim. I am actually in doubt if v3 is worth the 200 dollars. But well, I am sure I will get it nonetheless. I was hoping for some improvement in this regard though. I really hate those late loading textures. I am especially intesrested in this new feature: Can any of the beta testers comment on this or on any other major visual improvements?
