Best airport scenery

Recommended Posts

Recently I purchased a beautiful airport made by a new little company -Latinwings- at Aerosoft.
This is Valencia X (Valencia is the third largest city in Spain). Great level of detail, a beautifully detailed terminal, and all airport buildings and static planes and a wide area coverage, includes highlights of the area including detailed port and Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (City of Arts and Sciences).

I think it's worth

I am using the 777 to make some short hops in Europe at the moment and I quite love the approach to Salzburg.

You are literally flying into the mountains. The city is great in real life and so is the scenery!

And the approach from the south is GREAT!

Really really great!

I really like it!

Just a short update:

I bought FlyTampa Toronto some days ago.

Great scenery! Did some 777-200LR flights to EDDM like in real life. Stunning!

FlyTampa scenery is really worth the money.

I'd like to offer a strong recommendation for Bornholm airport (EKRN) by Vidan Design: http://www.vidandesign.com/bornholm.html

A beautiful little airport that's great fun in the NGX on a short hop from EKCH.

Now I have a question for fellow PNW residents: when will we get a good modern KPDX? There's an old FS9 portover by Flightzone but it's sorely out of date. The milk runs from Taxi2Gate's KSEA to FSDT's CYVR are a little too short, it would be great to have a decent PDX added to the routine. Anyone hear if any promising developments in this area?

The Orbx FTX PNW region adds a much better PDX than stock. I've become a big fan of the Orbx FTX products in the past year, improvements to the overall scenery are impressive.

Right, but with FTX Vector I see a lot of problems.

Since I deactivated it I have no CTDs and other problems at all.

And with Vector and high density areas like Aerosoft Heathrow I am close to OOM even so I turned down the options in Vector to a minimum.

But all other FTX products are really good in my eyes.

Is that the same scenery DRZEWIECKI DESIGN did?  Dear lord, they both look excellent.

Vidan are the original authors, and DD ripped them off, at least according to this: http://www.vidandesi...gn_textures.htm

I would avoid DD for this reason and have found Vidan to be an excellent scenery designer.

Hmmm.  That's pretty crappy.  Ok.

I really like FSDreamTeam but the anti piracy measures they use make installing their airports and activating a pain in the butt. Also, not a big fan of their Couatl thing.

FlyTampa, FlightBeam, LatinVFR, Tropicalsim, SunSkyJet(free) are all good choices. ImagineSim has some good looking airports but ive had issues with them. (Runway lighting not showing up at KCLT, just to name one) ORBX has to be at the top of the list for quality.

I bought FlyTampa VHHX some days ago and did some IGS 13 approaches in the 777.

A real challenge and a great scenery!
