Does soemone own FSDT KJFK v2?

I had a look at the demo yesterday but this was pretty short. It looked nice, but it costs 35€, which is not exactly cheap.

So I need recommendations to justify buying it!

I have it and for me it is worth the price. I have no complaints about any of FSDT airports.

I have v1 and v2, no longer use v1 of course and have no issues with it, be it FPS or VAS.

As with Michael, I have no issues with any FSDT airports and own them all except the Hawaiian ones.

I also own all the Flightbeam airports except KSFOv2 and they all work well, except KPHX is a little harder on performance for some reason on my machine. KPHX is not bad but I get 20 to 25 FPS there without traffic while I usually get 25 FPS or higher at their other airports with the same traffic settings.

I own it. Agree - not cheap. I use KJFK a bunch so that makes the price a tad easier to digest. It has the T4 expansion, which is critical. Nowhere near the level of FlightBeam or Taxi2Gate, but it's an old faithful. Scenery / Terminal textures get the job done. No performance issues for me. Docking system is always a perk. One thing I particularly like is the VOR / Belmont Visual for 13L. It has the lead in lights - that may sound like a small detail or perk, but there aren't many challenging approaches (at least for heavies like the 777) these days.

I think it boils down to usage. I don't fly KDEN much, but I certainly bought the FlightBeam KDEN because it's on that elite level. If I had to pick between KDEN and FSDT-KJFK, I'd go with KJFK, just because it's "good enough" and I fly there a bunch. Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot guys.

I had a look at the demo version again yesterday and it is really a nice airport!

And the hop to Europe is also not really long, so I can fly to my favourite airports (Zurich, Munich, Salzburg, Vienna) easily.

Guess I have to go for it!

@wde12 You are right, I did not find a lot of very challenging arrivals until now. VHHX is there on the FlyTampa scenery... But all other approaches I did until now are fairly simple. Fly the STAR, Transition, press APP and go down...

Old topic, but a good'n. Just wanted to share my $.02.

In the last couple months in getting P3d and back into simming, I've bought 28 airports haha. I have many more than that now, but only thanks to FlyTampa and Orbx for the free updates from FSX to P3d.

My favorite two are a close tie, Flightbeam and FlyTampa. I can't say enough about Flightbeam. I only wish they had more than 4. I have all of FlyTampa's, FSDT's and at least 20 Orbx. I have none for Aerosoft. Aerosoft (to me) is too annoying. No updates, or barely and they always say they have too much to update blah blah blah. They don't take the time to even update their own store. They actually have some products updated but many months later only refer to that via their forum, not their store. I will not part with a penny if it isn't assured to me where I buy it (their store) that it works. Sad too because I have their very inexpensive Boston X and it's incredible (I miss their innsbruck approach).

FSDT is great too. I have them all other than their Hawaii series.

Orbx is not last because I'm listing them last. Lately they're all that I use since I'm loving their Northern and Southern California. I've spent more money on Orbx stuff than any by far.

Here's my P3d list, all P3d V3 ready. This is from my notes so I don't of course have something that has "(want)" next to it ;)

It has most of what I have. I may have forgot recent purchases but it looks 100%.

I installed Aerosoft EDDH yesterday and even so it has no installer for P3D it works after changing two BGL files.

Made a short hop in the PMDG 777 from Aerosoft EDDH to T2Gs EDDM yesterday -> great experience as I fly this route sometimes in real life, but then with A319/20/21  :nea:

They should use a 777 here... Maybe I should write an e-mail to Lufthansa...

What bgl´s did you need to change + and did you have to use EMT?

Thanks

We need to have a Sticky for this topic... so people can name sceneries and then vote against them...

So have the list ready.

Just a suggestion. :)

This is barely even continuing to exist here as a thread because it doesn't really have a direct relation to discussing our offerings as PMDG. If you're looking for something like that, there are several other subforums here that might be a better fit.

You are right, I did also not notice it for some time that I posted it into the PMDG forum.

I wanted to post it into the P3D forum.

Kyle is absolutely right. But maybe an Admin can move the thread?

@Michael Moe: I cannot remember what I did with the BGLs to be honest. But I installed it like this: I created a folder with an empty file, named it "fsx.exe" so the Aerosoft installer would let me install it there. Then I added the scenery manually to P3D after installation.

The jetways are not working, but otherwise the airport looks good!

I could've moved it, or removed it. I think people can find useful info here from like-minded people, so I've left it as long as people are contributing to it, but I'm not going to sticky it here.
