Best airport scenery

Featured Replies

Could you expand on that please? Genuinely curious.

There are still some issues with sode for example. There's a new version out, but airport must be compiled with the new version. You can't just update Sode.

I've started to acquire a bunch of FlyTampa airports as I've found them to be rather detailed, but very reasonable on performance (particularly because of their config tool). FlightBeam is another fav

  • Take a look at this! Great approach! :-)   http://www2.pic-upload.de/img/30364811/Untitled.png

I actually have CYUL and not CYYZ, surprisingly. I'll get YYZ soon enough.

My list of fav airports

1) Fly Tampa's TNCM (Princess Julianna)

2) Fly Tampa's VHHX (Kai Tak Hongkong)

3) Fly Tampa's OMDB (Dubai) + Night Environment  Dubai.

4) Orbx Sedona.(requires FTX Global)

5) Aerosoft Madeira

6) Thai creations Katmandu and Aerosoft's FSDG - Paro X  (Bhutan)

7) LLH Courchevel

8) Orbx KPSP (Palm Springs) + Megascenery CA

9) Flightbeam KPHX (With Megascnery for AZ)

10) FSDT PHNL (Honolulu) + Megascnery Oahu

We are spoiled for choices..if you fly Europe a lot you may want to check out Aerosoft and UK2000 sceneries..

I use also Aerosoft Mega Airport Munich.

Great scenery. I know almost all details in real life of this airport and I find them in the scenery! Great work, great piece of software!

Europe: FSDT LSZH  My next grab will probably be Copenhagen though.

Already had this in the cart yesterday!

I think the next 2 purchases will be VHHX and LSZH!

I would certainly not buy Aerosoft's Munich at the moment as release of the Taxi2Gate version is imminent. The Aerosoft version was nice for it's time but I would expect the Taxi2Gate version to be a hundred times better and also updated with the latest constructional changes at the airport.

As I already have the AS EDDM and this really is my homebase... I will go for the T2G version too I guess

Thanks for the hint. Did not know that they are working on EDDM.

I also own Aerosoft's EDDM and will buy Taxi2Gate EDDM on the first day this will be released. Should be out before christmas. First shots which you can see at airdailyx.net look great!

I'm really looking forward to Flightbeam's version of my homebase EDDF. But I guess this will take another year until it is released.

Problems with orbx airports are that most of them need a full fat region to be installed..which is a little issue with big jets for VAS

Thanks,

Sooo many different ones to pick from.  I don't own anything outside Orbtx.  I'm going to get myself some of Fly Tampa stuff.  Going to get myself 2 of them, so i can fly from one to the other

Sorry for the stupid question, but what 2 airports (Flightbeam or Fly tampa) would be relativity close, a couple of hundred miles or so.  I suppose i go get out the map and check myself but just wondering really any recommendation for 2 visually stunning airports that are close-ish to each other

You don't have any Fly Tampa? Really?

WOW!

Option A. Get their TNCM Princess Julianna set.. It comes with three awesome airports.. You can fly smallGA aircrafts among the three.

3 airports: St. Maarten (TNCM), St. Barts (TFFJ), Saba (SABA/TNCS).

- Islands covered with Photoscenery, custom Autogen and Mesh.

- Animated AI-Ships ranging from Windsurfers to Cruiseliners.

- Animated car traffic.

- Sand-blast Effect on Maho Beach.

- Volumetric Grass (FSX only).

- Custom Specular and Reflection maps (FSX only).

- St. Maarten (TNCM) also available as stand-alone airport package.

Option B: If you Get Fly Tampa's Kai Tak you can also get the VHHH (Taxi2Gate's Hongkongs New airport and fly between them.

Option C:Or you can get Fly Tamp's OMDB (Dubai, Nighteveronment Lights) + (not sure who makes Qatar airport and fly nbetween those two

OTHER OPTIONS

FSDT Makes Hawaii airports..and you can fly between the Islands

One good thing about Islands and flying between oceans is performance is fantastic... :)

His sceneries always work and I've found his AFCADs to be accurate which lowers my frustration level.
