March 13, 201610 yr So you can delete the folder itself, rather than just all of the files inside the folder? Yes you can Delete the Whole folder and when you start Prepar3D it will Generate a complete new folder Or you can be hardcore and Delete the Shader files inside the folder  Thank you for your answer, needs to delete what exactly
March 13, 201610 yr Pete, I think you said that you have FTX Global installed? If that is the case, have you disabled the EGLL file in the AEC section? March 13, 201610 yr I figured out how to eliminate most of the in cockpit shimmering without using SGSS, here it is: http://www.avsim.com/topic/485082-heres-how-to-eliminate-cockpit-shimmering-without-sgss/
March 13, 201610 yr Is ASN 5913 a beta version? And with Orbx libraries has it been updated? Cheers yes 5913 is the latest beta fix. running ftx central will update the objectflow/libraries. edit yes did it yesterday bob
March 13, 201610 yr Thanks, any bugs reported in 5913? I gather there will be a asn 4.2 in near future?

March 13, 201610 yr It looks to me like the default layout and texture is being shown as well as the Aerosoft ones. Are you absolutely sure you have: BR2_EGLL.BGL EGLL TOWER BEACON.BGL EGLL_KA_OBJ.BGL disabled from MT6? Assume you have UT2 disabled in SimObject.cfg also? ... based on that overhead image the only way to get multiple overlayed AI aircraft in the same positions is with either MT6 or UT2 being referenced via SimObject.cfg ... almost certain this is nothing to do with Orbx ... if it were then that would invalidate the core layering system and everything would be broken. Cheers, Rob.
March 13, 201610 yr Commercial Member I think you said that you have FTX Global installed? If that is the case, have you disabled the EGLL file in the AEC section? As previously posted, it isn't actually possibly to disable EGLL there. Even after it scanned my scenery, it listed loads of airports I most certainly don't have add-ons for (default USA ones) and a few UK ones, but not EGLL. And it isn't possible to enter EGLL in the edit box and press enter in the hope it will be added -- that box appears to be simply a filter for the list it generates below. I've tried disabling the AEC layer altother. It does more harm than good as far as I can see. I did that in FSX too when I first got FTX Global. Are you absolutely sure you have: BR2_EGLL.BGL EGLL TOWER BEACON.BGL EGLL_KA_OBJ.BGL disabled from MT6? Oh, yes, for sure. Almost all of the EGxx entries in MyTraffic are removed to a saved folder, because I have most of the added courtesy UK2000. Assume you have UT2 disabled in SimObject.cfg also? SimObjects are only paths to places where objects being referenced can be obtained -- in this case AI aircraft. Since I stopped UT2 running for the tests, they weren't in use in any case. ... based on that overhead image the only way to get multiple overlayed AI aircraft in the same positions OK, I can see I should have explained the stacked AI. I did think I should, but I thought, "no, they'll realise this isn't relevant"! ;-) That is caused by entering World-Scenery, changing the scenery being loaded, and clicking OK. The AI traffic (all of it was MT6) is loaded on top of the previous lot which isn't cleared because you've not loaded a fresh flight. You needn't worry about that, I know all about it, and it isn't at all relevant to the ground texturing problem at all. Pete Win10: 22H2 19045.2728 CPU: 9900KS at 5.5GHz Memory: 32Gb at 3800 MHz. March 13, 201610 yr Commercial Member It's relevant if other BGLs are being loaded via SimObjects.cfg. No BGLs in any of the AI traffic folders, it's all AI aircraft. Anyway, I managed to fix it. I reinstalled P3D3 client AND content, then FTX Global. Then I started with a SCENERY.CFG with only the default stuff plus Aerosoft Heathrow, and step by step added batches, check between. I got all the way to my full SCENERY set without the problem recurring. So. I don't know what happened, but some how something did on the original install. Weird. I'd dearly like to know what was different the second time. Thanks for all the suggestions though. Very illuminating! Pete Win10: 22H2 19045.2728 CPU: 9900KS at 5.5GHz Memory: 32Gb at 3800 MHz. March 15, 201610 yr Seems like waiting some days was the right thing for me. I installed all three components yesterday and only had a short look afterwards. But it seems that "everything" works for me without doing anything special. "Everything" means: PMDG 777, ASN, PrecipitFX, Immersion, Scenery Addons, FTX Global / Vector / OpenLC, FSUIPC, GSX.... Edit: Does someone know if the memory bug has been fixed that prevented e.g. Dubai Night Environment from loading properly?
