May 5, 201610 yr Today I uninstalled FS9 and all related addons from my PC... I installed FS9 in 2003 for the first time and reinstalled it again in 2010 after a PC upgrade. I got FSX in 2007 but never felt the need to install it because I was really happy with FS9 and the way it performed. I finally installed FSX in 2011 and it has been my main sim ever since. Now that I'm considering a move to P3D, it is time to move on and reclaim that hard drive space. I posted these same shots on this Screenshot Forum in 2007. I can't believe these screenshots are almost 10 years old... They feature PMDG's 737NG for FS9. Hope you enjoy them. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ptyznwif8l58i1p/2007-11-22%20EDDV%20to%20LOWK%201.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/6r4203v59uo23no/2007-11-22%20EDDV%20to%20LOWK%202.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ryeebgdo500fm04/2007-11-22%20EDDV%20to%20LOWK%203.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/z6ty8eddoualz6z/2007-11-22%20EDDV%20to%20LOWK%204.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/cq3zie6f9w71d96/2007-11-22%20EDDV%20to%20LOWK%205.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/orsnkfe8gyi9013/2007-11-22%20EDDV%20to%20LOWK%206.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/7yeq2ndq2v9x99l/2007-11-22%20EDDV%20to%20LOWK%207.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/b28jcj4nyzrwse1/2007-11-22%20EDDV%20to%20LOWK%208.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/dd2sxsmctinuk6j/2007-11-22%20EDDV%20to%20LOWK%209.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/8m048cbb5fai7s2/2007-11-22%20EDDV%20to%20LOWK%2010.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/uwjvpgkgerwz4nx/2007-11-22%20EDDV%20to%20LOWK%2011.jpg?dl=0 Regards, Hugo Bravo LPPT
May 5, 201610 yr FS9 Still looks very good in those screenshots but times change and there comes a time to move on. Mark CYYZ
May 5, 201610 yr Myself....I'd would have gone out and bought another hard drive... Oh wait...I did...
May 5, 201610 yr This stirs up some memories. I flew a lot of hours for Tuifly VA on Yellow Cabs, the PMDG 737 and FS9 :'( I went to check if I could still log in to their site, and funny enough, I could! Some 150 hours, not bad. I flew a lot more for Continental VA until they closed, I believe, some years ago. But, as they say, sometimes IT'S TIME TO MOVE ON! I might very soon open a thread like this one saying goodbye to FSX and hello to X-Plane 10 Jaime Beneyto My real life aviation and flight simulation videos [English and Spanish] System: i9 9900k OC 5.0 GHz | RTX 2080 Super | 32GB DDR4 3200MHz | Asus Z390-F
May 5, 201610 yr Grandes fotos! Reconsider going X-Plane 10 instead :-) All of the best! Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
May 5, 201610 yr Commercial Member These screens looks better than bunch of dark ones from P3D and XPL! Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.
May 5, 201610 yr I agree with that notion... the screens latterly are looking more like my old CRT display. I suppose it's all in the search of a "new look". I find little to fault in the shots above... I find FS9 totally satisfies all my flightsimming needs, too. Perhaps because I spend less time with the sim these days, I do not feel the pressure to find that "Extra Display Pixel". Also I have never found the end of FS9, so to speak. There are planes not yet flown, sceneries not yet explored, whole "new looks" like Evo not fully explored. I'm not sure what would displace my FS9, certainly not any of the offerings currently on offer. Perhaps flightsimming is over, and the Next Thing will be a 128 bit Virtual Reality Drone?
May 6, 201610 yr Author Thank you for all the comments, guys! I appreciate it. Obrigado, José. X-Plane is definitely an option... Regards, Hugo Bravo LPPT
