June 3, 201610 yr Seriously, if you don't want problems, particularly with your UK2000 scenery, do not update to P3D v3.3.3 for now until there is a resolution. This is why I am sticking with P3D v3.1. It runs fine at the moment, and I really don't see anything in 3.2 or 3.3 that would make much difference to my enjoyment. June 3, 201610 yr I know the texture issues have been mentioned ad nauseam, but is anyone experiencing significant performance hits at airports (other than those made by FSDT)? My Taxi2Gate, LatinVFR, and FlightBeam sceneries all cause a significant performance drop which is primarily seen as stuttering, especially when panning around/changing views. https://www.youtube.com/user/vertighoFS http://www.twitch.tv/vertigho/profile
June 3, 201610 yr Went back to v3.2 and all is back to normal and stable. I see no reason to upgrade when there are clearly too many problems with scenery, VAS and other performance issues.
June 3, 201610 yr Tony, have you updated only the Client? It might be worth a try also to update Content. I only installed the Client not the Content. Just a bit concerned to try again with 3.3 as is there an amount of times you can Activiate your licence with out having any issues? Just if I try Client & Content and still no joy with Uk2000 textures and have to go back to 3.2 again. Tony Simpson FLYING FROM EGKK, The worlds busiest single runway Airport.
June 3, 201610 yr Only installed the client, no runway textures at UK2000 scenery and a couple of FSDT airports as well back to 3.2 all good. Cheers Rod.
June 3, 201610 yr Author Just a bit concerned to try again with 3.3 as is there an amount of times you can Activiate your licence with out having any issues? . You can Uninstall and Reinstall Prepar3D as many times as you like, 1000 times in one day if you like. The problems will come if you don't Uninstall Prepar3D properly "deactivate your licence" either through the Control panel "programs and Features" or you run the Installer again and Click Uninstall. A typical example is to just delete all 5 folders and then try and Reinstall again without Uninstalling first as above. Or Downloading and Installing Prepar3D on a second computer without Uninstalling on the previous computer. It's the Exact same for Client.

June 3, 201610 yr Just read that everything that installs into the P3D root folder has to be reinstalled. I have installed several Aerosoft airports into the root folder first and then copied them outside P3D... Only their AirportController folder is in the main root.. Is there a catch here ? FTX Global and HDTrees also reinstall ? I updated Client + Content Thanks 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
June 3, 201610 yr Author Just read that everything that installs into the P3D root folder has to be reinstalled. Where did you read that? If your Updating Prepar3D using the Update Installers with Client and Content only, there is No reason to Reinstall Airports Planes or Scenery. V 3.3 Content Update: After you Update with Content, Do the following (If you have these Add On's) (1) To sort your Orbtx Autogen Entries, Go to your FTX Control Panel. Click either FTX Global or Europe and click apply, That's it. (2) Go to your Rex_Texture Control Panel and Inject your Theme again. (3) Run the FSDT addon_Manager again if you have any FSDT Products like Airports or Ground Services X Installed https://www.fsdreamt...donmanager.html (4) Inject PrecipitFX again. (5) Install Orbtx Libs again FTX Global and HDTrees also reinstall ? You only Reinstall Orbx Global again if your Updating Scenery, Don't Uninstall Global, Just Rerun the Installer again. I don't have HDTrees so i don't know where they Install but i would be 99% sure that it will Not effect a Content Update

June 3, 201610 yr She probably meant the executable code (.exe, .dll) etc, along with the shadersHLSL folder, which is part of the client. June 3, 201610 yr My cloud.fx and GPUterrain.fx files have a new date ... Correct the shader files are new but don't influence current installed add-ons except with the shader mod... Not tested yet the new install and impact on 3d party stuff. But current version has the same install routine as 3.2 no difference here for me.. André
