  • Sometimes, when I read various posts, I really start to chuckle. As @Bobsk8 suggested, I wonder how many have spent much time in real flight. With over 10,000 hrs of flight time I can safely say that

Hi Rich,

did you uninstall ASCA or are you using all three in combo?

Hi Rich,

Not my cup of tea wait for New skyforce - but you can use all three if you wish - they have patched it so it does not overwrite REX tetures now

I am happy to hear that, thought I am the only one not super excited...

Just a quick video showing the in cloud effect with AS16/ASCA in P3D.

NOTE: This is my first ever video so please excuse the newbie mistakes. I just flew, saved it and uploaded.

I did notice some stutters in the video that are NOT present in the original.

Hm... I thought AS solved the slow speed clouds problem somehow...? The speed at which you fly through those clouds still looks like you are riding a bicycle or floating in a rowboat.

After my first missed approach due to weather ever yesterday at OMDB I still think from flight to flight better about AS16 + ASCA.

To all the doubters: Well, you can surely hold out on this "update", but you sure as hell miss some good new things. Even after 36 pages of being "not excited" about screenshots ;-)

I cannot stand this buhuuuu about screenshots any longer, sorry :-)

Everybody is free to hold out and not get AS16... The pros and cons have been delievered more that 5 times at least now.

Interesting. Looks just fine to me. Possibly the playback. As I said, I am NOT a video expert.

I downloaded AS16 trial and used it with REX Texture Direct (using theme from departure airport option). I did a comparison with ASN. The differences were clear. The weather depiction and the changes it promised were all there and the environment was just outstanding and visibly better than ASN. I immediately confirmed my purchase. I am not sure about ASCA as REX does an excellent job so have held back until I see a step change there.

Happy flying!

Had a nice little experience. Climbing out of EKCH, with some nasty grey weather on the ground, then breaking through the cover to see the towering clouds.

The many duplicate clouds are ruining the overall experience a little though :(

Nice shots :-) Should be the same cloud selection as with ASN? Or do you use ASCA with only structures?

Would be nice if HiFi could give the user an option to save sets and which ASCA then chooses from ;-)
