August 19, 20169 yr Come on P3D version!! Guess I'll have to settle for the real thing the next 4 days, but loving what I see so far, and eager to see how she compares to the real bird. August 19, 20169 yr I got in on the 8 min window for the early adopter and WOW this plane is unbelievable to handfly, this, majestic q400 and the ixeg 737 are the only airliners that I actually enjoy hand flying and feel realistic compared to pireps on handling characteristics. The night lighting on this bird is beautiful and fully adjustable, ground handling is superb and comes with its own custom ground modeling and of course the systems are complete and accurate. FSL raised the bar for FSX, P3D Come on P3D version!! FSL raised the bar for FSX, P3D I am really interested in your opinion once you get it. Amen to that! ;-) I had them all, the PSS Airbusses, the feelthere Busses, later with the Eric Marciano improvements, the Airsimmer Airbus, the original Aerosoft Airbus, the most recent one, with all different steps of evolution in between, the Peter's Aircraft A320 series (which has the fantastic QPAC fbw), the QPAC A320, the JAR A320neo, but this one is BY FAR the best model, with the deepest system modelling, the most convincing FBW, the most beautiful sounds... You get it guys, I am having a blast in this bird!!! ;-)
August 19, 20169 yr Is there no wing flex? Doesn't look like any in the pictures Pete Richards I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988. August 19, 20169 yr Is there no wing flex? Doesn't look like any in the pictures I've already seen some flexing on the wings (I think ;-) ), but the A32X's wings are quite stiff, especially when compared to the NG.I'll have a closer look at it!
August 19, 20169 yr Glad to hear it's good to hand fly, all the previous FSX Airbuses I felt like the sidestick was linked to the control surfaces by carrier pigeon! As such the were pigs to hand fly. So with that in mind, anyone fancy recreating Gordon Corps' A320 demo http://www.ziln.co.nz/video/1503 from 9:30 onwards (or 5:30 if they're feeling generous)? I'd be very interested to see how the FS Labs compares. ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.
August 19, 20169 yr Commercial Member If you did not have either which would you rather have - PMDG 737 NX or this bird? Paul Grubich 2017 - Professional texture artist painting virtual aircraft I love. Be sure to check out my aged cockpits for the A2A B-377, B-17 and Connie at Flightsim.com and Avsim library
August 19, 20169 yr If you did not have either which would you rather have - PMDG 737 NX or this bird? The NGX is a beautiful bird, and one of the best addons around! But it all depends, you know? The area where I live in, and where I simulate the most online and VA flights in, is dominated by the A320 family, so it's the plane I use most of the time. So if I had to choose, it would be the FSL A320 for me.
August 19, 20169 yr I was also lucky to get it, single engine behavior is on par and they did a fantastic job with the FBW . a winner!
August 19, 20169 yr Can you see the wing from the VC ? MSFS2020, 24, Fenix A320, Ryzen 9 9950X3D, ASUS TUF RTX 5090 ,G.SKILL 64GB 6000MHz CL28
August 19, 20169 yr I'm waitinf for the p3d version myself...in the meantime...Can you see the wing tips from the Vc ? If yes could you please post a a few screenshots ? Oh yes. How is hand flying this thing ? thx
August 19, 20169 yr Can you see the wing from the VC ? No, they haven't modelled that.As stated a few times in this thread, hand flying this thing is a pure joy. The FBW is easily the best ever programmed into a desktop flight sim addon!
August 19, 20169 yr No, they haven't modelled that. Wow. I mean, its not that of a big deal but, if you cant see the wing you dont really need the wing lights... They modeled lots of small things but not that...strange. MSFS2020, 24, Fenix A320, Ryzen 9 9950X3D, ASUS TUF RTX 5090 ,G.SKILL 64GB 6000MHz CL28
August 19, 20169 yr Wow. I mean, its not that of a big deal but, if you cant see the wing you dont really need the wing lights... They modeled lots of small things but not that...strange.You have to make compromises concerning the amount of polygons, I guess. But be assured, this piece of software creates an immense immersion! And, for an initial release (and the early adopter version actually isn't the official v1 release), it's remarkably good and free of flaws!!! I love using Track Ir, and looking backwards "over my shoulder", it's very nice to see the wing tips on the NGX, no doubt about that. ;-) But honestly, there are so many beautiful details in this beast, like the slight change of the pitch of the vents sound when you change the power source (i.e. ext. power to APU), it's really something you need to experience by yourself. It's sooooo much more immersive than any other Airbus addon ever released!
