November 15, 20169 yr I dont own the maddog, but it seems more interesting now to me because of the VC refresh... I have to say, I like eyecandy :-) Is anyone able to post some shots of the changes? Just to get a feeling how it looks now? Thank you very much! November 15, 20169 yr But why is this happening in default straight ahead view with EzDok off and not running at all? The distortion doesn't change shape, fade, or adjust however I change the viewpoint. November 15, 20169 yr Hi Folks, I can't believe an MD80 has been ignored so badly in P3D... This has to be my favorite airliner to fly - hands down - with it's unique autopilot - little razor thin wings - and - all the sounds the plane makes in flight... Granted I was a Coolsky fan - but - I'd be very interested in anyone's on par work... The Coolsky one doesn't even work with FSX on Win10 - not that it matters now that I've moved to P3D... Someday... Regards, Scott

November 15, 20169 yr Did you look at the thread? First page has compares. Yes I did, they look already good! But since then there was some updates. I thought they have have added more nice things to see. Klaus Schmitzer i7-14700KF 5.6GHz Water Cooled /// ZOTAC RTX 4070 TI Super 16GB /// 32GB RAM DDR5 /// Win11 /// SSDs only DCS - XP12 - MSFS2020
November 15, 20169 yr Commercial Member Sadly, the Maddog is a FS9 Port (and rumored to have a little some FS2002 files), so moving it to P3D requires a re-work of a number of items. There may be some hope of compatibility with the upcoming DTG Sim! As far as I'm concerned, P3D isn't a giant leap forward (not until 64-bit), so I actually reinstalled FSX-SE just to fly the Maddog... and loving it! I use P3D for everything else. November 16, 20169 yr is there a way to make the led read out numbers ( frequency, autopilot, etc)in the VC brighter. Unless I zoom close, these number are barely legible during normal flight operations. The rest of the vc is quite bright and attractive. I have the settings all on performance, but I don't see a line that points to "quality" readouts in the settings. thanks tony
November 16, 20169 yr Commercial Member is there a way to make the led read out numbers ( frequency, autopilot, etc)in the VC brighter. Yes. The knobs at the bottom of the FGCP (MCP if it were a Boeing). The knobs hang downwards. By the way... if you guys have never flown the Maddog in Shared Cockpit, YOU'RE MISSING OUT! It's FANTASTIC!!! November 16, 20169 yr Dave, are you referring to the ones right behind the tiller? Apparently, those don't seem to have any effect when I turn them high. The only effective instrumentation knob is the only that controls the pfd brightness. I'd attach a pic, but somehow this option is gone. tony
November 16, 20169 yr Commercial Member No sir... I believe it's underneath the Altitude or Vertical Speed knob/wheel. Dave Hodges System Specs: I9-13900KF, NVIDIA 4070TI, Quest 3, Multiple Displays, Lots of TERRIFIC friends, 3 cats, and a wonderfully stubborn wife.
November 16, 20169 yr Ah, yes. I had to go into the 2D panel in order to turn them, since the in the VC the mouse pointer turns into a hand, but they don't seem to work. Perhaps someone else can correct me. And thanks, Dave, for the insight into these two knobs. tony
November 17, 20169 yr Try setting clipmode=normal in your cameras.cfg (C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\ This will also get rid of the awful flickering clouds around mountains [CameraDefinition.201] Title = EZCA VC cam Guid = {67CFDFFC-E78E-4445-B317-36A6888AECA8} ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Snipped for brevity ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- clipmode=normal It took me a while to finally sit down and try this out excited I was, but no dice. Still the same as before even after changing it to normal. Dang! November 17, 20169 yr Commercial Member Tony, not sure why you had to do that, they work fine in the VC... Try using the Mouse wheel to turn them? Dave Hodges System Specs: I9-13900KF, NVIDIA 4070TI, Quest 3, Multiple Displays, Lots of TERRIFIC friends, 3 cats, and a wonderfully stubborn wife.
November 17, 20169 yr Dave, it would be great if I could see a "before" and "after" image of the readouts. Maybe I am expecting to much, but as I moved either the wheel or the various buttons( and I very familiar with how these are used on the Maddog), I didn't see the "linear" increase or decrease of the lighting. I will keep on trying.... tony
