Austin has stated (online interview) that for the next few months, LR will concentrate on stability, smoothness and stable fps, so performance will be further tweaked, which is great.

I'm finding beta 3 to be more smooth as well, but I thought that perhaps it's just me. Hard to say.

I did try using real weather for a bit, 10 knot crosswind made for a landing disaster... It was all good until I actually touched down, and then it was like I was on ice - aircraft slid all over the place, brakes nearly ineffective expect to change the direction I was sliding, nearly slid off the end of the runway. Going back to no wind & landed again and it was fine.

I really, really, really wish that they'd devote some (lots, all?) time to fixing that ground shaking issue. There's time when it gives me a headache to taxi in a small plane, and it really detract from the ground experience in a helicopter.

Have lost my menu when I put the mouse pointer at the top.

Is there a key press I can use when this happens?

Was I unfortunate that to me beta3 seems to have reduced fps and introduced some micro-stuttering. Kind of frustrating. In heavy scenery the fps is completely CPU-bound and where I got 22 sth now I only got 15.

The micro-stuttering maybe is due to I upgraded my 980 video card. Maybe I should do a clean install of Nvidia driver?

Does it not show up at all or does it "flicker" when you pass over a certain threshold to the edge of the screen.  I ask this because my install does this, where you move your cursor to the top and if the cursor hits the extreme top edge of the screen, I don't see the menu, but if I move the mouse cursor down just a slight bit, the menu shows up.

It happens when i open the Max Fx addon menu or i fly IXEG ...but my small temp fix is to open map (click M) then close it, Menu comes back.

i noticed this on take off as well... 8 knots wind was blowing the 737 all over...

Will try that pilot83 and hope your temp map opening works- I have found the settings on the top right a bit funny too - sometimes hidden sometimes not.

First time running 3 I had very bad frame rates around 6 to 12 - but when I ran it again the day after it had gone back to the 30 to 40. Strange.

Thanks again for replays

Sounds like a conflict between third party menus and XP11 menu system?  We're still in beta, so I'm sure things will work themselves out.

Most probably it is the case,  especially x-aviation products...but once they optimize their products IXEG, Max FX for XP11, these glitches will surely go away.

Beta3 is a disaster for me...I am having all sorts of problems with the brakes...they used to work fine, but now the moment I press the pedals, they stay locked to ON and I can't reset the programming.

Tried the default 747 and the right hand side buttons on the FMC do not register any key presses.

There's a separate command for toggling brakes on/off and applying them only when pressed. What happens when you check the assignments?

Perhaps you could point out these controls.  I've yet to  find a Parking brake command in any beta, only set-brake-max  which doesn't stick.

I've also lost mouse look and Pan in 3D cockpit but they work in external Circle view? Joystick is a Saitek 3D Cyborg.

Beta 2 was much better for me.

I was wondering where the parking brake assignment was. I don't even see it visibly in the c172?
