For $59 I'll support them.

Besides with them doing a MD plane, maybe a MD11 remake isn't too far fetched. (I can dream can't I? :) )

For a little entertainment while waiting:

I do have to chuckle with the above comment about them:

a) telling the world an exact launch time

b ) being absolutely unprepared for said launch at their said time

c) also advertising/selling their own web hosting....

lol :Tounge:

Can't say it gives me much confidence in the company, but I am still excited about their new bird!

They're just having a bad day.  I wouldn't let it form an opinion.

Even the US government didn't anticipate the steps needed to keep "Healthcare.gov" from puking when it was first opened.

They probably only plan of about 60 buyers a night, not 60 per minute. "No sense in spending extra money to make the website beefier than what is needed."  Then it fries the first minute of operation  :help:

Lol, don't even bring the government's ability to do anything efficiently to the table

Nah, not ragging on them so much as I feel exactly like Paul, particularly because they also want to sell web hosting ha (ie, they should know this):

"Specially ironic as they are offering to sell Web Hosting.

Coming from an IT background I'm afraid I can't be too sympathetic when an increased demand is forecast and they don't cater for it. Especially in today's age of scalable on-demand cloud based infrastructure such as from Amazon and Rackspace and many others."

But, on the topic of price, if this thing is as good as it looks it'll be a ton of fun at $59!

Don't say that. Tell everyone it'll be live at 2:00 AM then quietly turn it on now. Give the poor download server half a chance!

download still "pending"

Same here... I wonder how long before it will be available for download. Do they manually approve each order?

Yep, been "Pending" since my last post.

EDIT: Did get the same receipt as Steve, but still says Pending.

Same here.  I know we live in a world of instant gratification but let's give them time to deal with the overload.
