will XP11 gets an better in-sim flight planing tool...maybe like the FSX one? I've tested the demo, but wasn't able to find one.

While in XP11, if you hit the enter key on your keyboard, it'll bring up an ATC window, that allows the user to file a flightplan.  It isn't as intuitive as perhaps other flight planning software, but it'll do for basic flights.

X-Plane has never included a full-featured internal planner, so I doubt we'll see one soon. There are 3rd party, external flight planners that can export a .fms file that can be loaded into the sim's GPS or FMS.

I use the donationware Plan-G planner, which is very good for VFR and IFR (to a certain extent, it doesn't include SIDs and STARs). With the free XPUIPC interface you can also use Plan-G as a moving map. It's better than the default moving map in XP11 because you can scroll outside the area of the currently loaded terrain tile. 

Note: there is a new version of Plan-G due shortly that will work with XP11's new database. In the meantime Plan-G uses the XP10 database, which you should have if you bought the XP11 beta.

Try this, it might be what you are after. Personally I like Plan-G better since it runs outside x-plane on the 2nd monitor

I still use PFPX to plan every flight in XP10 & XP11. I have multiple profiles for aircraft in my hanger and the weights & fuel calculations are pretty much spot on. I also use Aivlasoft EFB for departures & arrivals (Would love to have this connected to XP as it does with FSX) and Plan G for tracking in real time

This is something I was hoping to read:) Maybe this will convince me making the switch from FS9 to XP

I use SkyVector  to plan and get the desired routes and charts then copy the route to SimBrief to get the OFP and FMS.

Well if you use Jardesign Airbus 320 or 330 Pilot2atc would be great has an export for these aircraft - create plan - then import into fms - bam done - super program

I think the OP is looking for something that works.

Best tried and true method for me is Simbrief, for creating the plan to import into XP11 and then loading it into my FMC.  SIDS and STARs are done manually, with the PDF flight plan and Navigraph charts.  I have yet to be steered wrong, doing it this way and I've learned a lot while doing it.
