Level D 767 for P3D Now Available

Featured Replies

Just installed into P3D, works flawlessly.

Now, are those VC mods still around (the default VC is hideous).

Aye, me as well, circa 2005.

It really cant be flown with the stock cockpit, it needs mods.

I attended an Avsim convention in San Diego back in the day, when Level D was demoed and they let people fly it, and I purchased it when I got home. bit dated now, and haven't used it in years. It was cutting edge back then.

Everything works, but in my case i had to delete the payload text file as it was crashing P3D 3.4. Also had to copy the uires folder from an old FSX installation.

Worked out of the box for me. No previous install ( 3 years ago it was removed)

Thanks for confirming. May consider a rebuy as I cant find my DVD from way back when.  Are those mods for the VC way better?  Any screenshots of them?

So Level D is around and alive. Maybe there is hope yet for a 757 or maybe it will be a complete shocking surprise and a 757/767 duo for P3D V4!  (Think I have a better chance of going to the moon)

I found that Andre's mods in the LVLD forum seem to be the most balanced. Zinertek's version won't work correctly in FSX/P3D and the other one in AVSIM feels kinda 'off'.

The mods are a minor PITA to put in, too bad there's no installer.

Thanks for sharing the pics.  Looks decent enough. VC now looks on par with the CS767 except that ones systems modelling and flawed FMC suck compared to the lvlD

Could I simply copy over from my old FSX Folder the Texture folders for liveries into the P3D and then add the entries in Aircraft.cfg?

Edited to add: Yes it does for some but not all have the skin..3 out of 11 looks good..others have the default lvlD skins. Hmm...!

I have my FSX install in my previous PC and I just copied them over and added those entries from Aircraft.cfg to this one.

No problem. As for the graphics, not really Dave. Captain Sim's looks... i wouldn't say much better, but it looks clearly better than LevelD's. Of course, they're completely different simulations and although CS has more features and more accurate fonts, etc, it's overall a bad/worse simulation of a 767.

Where do you get Andre's mods?  I own the HD texture set you can buy at simmarket but it wont install into P3D. It only asks for a fsx dir.
