November 29, 20178 yr I was just wondering what all the Navigraph app will actually update in P3D. I see it updated my PMDG addons as well as Active Sky but, does it also update the native navaid database and airports added to P3D?
November 29, 20178 yr It doesn't touch the default built-in nav data. Only third party stuff. If you're looking to update the default nav data there's this - http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html (there's also a payware one that I can't remember the name of at the moment...see below for more details ;)) Neil Andrews. There is no navaid database in P3D, rather navaids, airways and waypoints are hard-coded into bgl scenery files and are not intended to be kept up to date. In most cases, when flying an PMDG or other FMS equipped aircraft with a navdata database, you can easily ignore the baked-in navdata except for the terminal environment. This approach was taken by MS with the earliest Flight Simulators due to cost and performance issues way back then. I use the tools from Sors recommended by Neil, but since I only fly either FMS or VOR only aircraft I've not the need to keep the global database in the simulator up to date. Dan Downs KCRP
November 29, 20178 yr fsAerodata is the payware application. Using Navigraph data it will update approaches, and add stars, and sids to the P3D database. If you use LittleNavMap, it will read the updated P3D database and you will have updated approaches, stars, and sids to use with LittleNavMap. A great combination in my opinion.

November 30, 20178 yr Only the payware add-on (fsaerodata) updates all the navaid, comm, arrival, departure and approach information and keeps them in synch with all the other add-ons that use Navigraph AIRACs.

I am absolutely happy with this add-on. November 30, 20178 yr I have Navigraph installed as well as the aero.sors.fr/navaids3 updates and Aerosoft Frankfurt. When trying to do an ILS to 26R, the frequency on FSLabs A320 ND matches Navigraph's charts, but the centre line appears to be somewhere else other than 26R. Any idea which bit is wrong (including me)?
November 30, 20178 yr It would great to have an update for runways in P3D to match real world airports.I am finding as the years go by more runways have been moved, re numbered or new ones constructed that exist in updated data bases but not in the base scenery. Gary Stewart
November 30, 20178 yr According to their official forum, fsaerodata is working on a new add-on to update stock airport geometry. I've found it easier just to use ADE and update specific stock airports.
