“ TE NLD service pack 1 is being worked on and no, it’s not ready for release yet because there is more to do. Service packs are worked on as background tasks. I am sure you can still fly in the Netherlands with missing lighthouses!

We have just released FTX Global Vector’s 10th service pack in 5 years, so our track record for maintaining region products is unquestionable , but no amount of banging fists on tables and assuming we abandon products is going to help TE NLD SP1 come any faster. “

Personally, I find it very difficult to fly anywhere without accurately placed lighthouse models. John needs to up his game!

Just happy to hear from the "man"...

Just like me,  for John,  Holland is his country of birth, and with a name ending in "ma" he must come from Groningen, where I grew up..

I kind of hoped that he would not let NLD quietly fade away while focused on all the new projects..

Still worth reminding him though..

Perhaps in 5 years or so.

Would you agree with 1.2Tb for the UK ?  Do you have that much free space on a SSD ?

No I don't have that much ssd space but I do on hdd.

SSD is getting cheaper all the time, I currently have 2 x 250 and 1 x 500 samsung pro drives a 500 velociraptor and a 2 tb hdd.

I spent last night deleting all my P3D V3.4 installs so now I have loads of space to build on my V4 install.

If you have a smooth Sim that is all that counts.

Like I wrote , my Windows SSD 600 was hitting 100% usage regurlarly with my setup. The 7940X sometimes was waiting for load...

I used a 120 Gb SSD 600 in my cliënt pc and the 2 512 Gb SSD 600 as storage in my server.

From now on I am going to use SSD M2 only for Windows and P3D.

I recently picked up some M.2 NVme 2TB Samsung 970 EVO and 1TB 970 EVO for very cheap ($459 and $229) during one of those NewEgg 3 hours only sales.

Not the Pro versions but I’ll not notice the difference in P3D as they both operate around 3GB/s.

Also picked up a couple of Seagate 10TB enterprise old school mechanical helium drive for $261 ... just in case I need to do the PR scenery shuffle.

Storage prices definitely going down, a year ago a 2TB Samsung M.2 would have been over $1000.

Cheers Rob
