August 22, 20196 yr Great plane, and great news! Would mean a return to regular flights in it for me. Nick Silver http://www.youtube.com/user/socalf1fan Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 64gb ddr4 3200mhz ram, RTX 4080 Super, HP Reverb G2 v2, 4K Tv Monitor

September 14, 20196 yr CTD same issue- i don't think this will ever be fixed, newest update-what a frikken shame
September 14, 20196 yr I don't think the newest update addresses this issue yet, but they claim to have definitely pinpointed it. It may require a P3D update from LM to implement the fix the way tfdi would like from the sounds of it. They have fixed it in testing by removing the external model when inside the cockpit view.
September 15, 20196 yr Amazing a product would be sold with defects as discussed above. I guess I could understand it if there was an anti-virus/malware program that blocked one of the files or the installation required Administrative privileges to install, but no indication this was the case. I remember when a Carenado aircraft was constantly a CTD and the people at Carenado said the P3D techs identified the problem and said the fix would be in the next P3D update. The next update from LM fixed the problem. Let's hope LM plans on another update to P3DV4 so this issue can be fixed too! Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! December 11, 20196 yr I've never experienced this CTD in P3D. Not even once. And I've tried doing lots of view switching just to try to tick off the program. But nope. Question for you people experiencing it... Do any of you use TrackIR? I'm a religious TIR zealot and having never seen the crash, wondered if there was any correlation? December 12, 20196 yr I have TIR as well. Plane is completely unstable and ever since upgrading to Win10 I get kernelbase CTDs even out of the blue w/o changing view. It's in the hangar until something comes up which I doubt will ever happen... December 12, 20196 yr On win10 here and usually the plane is very stable. Last time I got a ctd was when 4.5 first came out when switching views. Didn’t switch views the entire flight and at the gate I switched views to test it out and immediately got the crash. Haven’t been able to replicate it since. It’s a very elusive bug.
May 15, 20206 yr for those of you who were on the fence with the 717 "As many of you know, the 717 has been plagued with the View Switch CTD for a while now, and the SLI flicker has also been reported. As of April 3rd 2020, both of these bugs are now fixed. This means the CTD when switching views no longer occurs, and the SLI flicker when running two graphics cards has also been fully resolved." I hear it's been replaced by Crash to Desktop for exceeding VRAM. 😛 Seriously, though, I hope they're going to optimise VRAM usage a lot. It's awful right now with the 717 and I have 11GB VRAM.
May 15, 20206 yr I still get a kernelbase CTD when pressing the fuel page button 🤦🏻♂️ Shom MSFS2024 running on Win 11, 4K screen, Z790 AORUS ELITE AX-W, i9-14900K, MSI 3080Ti, Corsair 2x32GB 6000 MHz, 1+2TB M.2 NVMEs
