Two things are for sure: 1. trees are of photogrammetry models, which look bad below 1000 feet.  2. Default terrain mesh resolution is rather low. See the “smooth” mountains in the third video.

Massive leap forward in basically everything simmers have been wanting forever,

complains about tiny issues in an ALPHA build

Ok I launched the video on 5 different setups + 2 mobile phones, 4 of them and the phones gave me the same results with a little stutter between 0.3 and 0.4. But the last system I tried it on worked much better and I didn't appreciate it..

The one that worked fine is a 4K System, Windows 10 using Edge.. while using Chrome, Android + Windows 10 or Windows 7 resulted on giving me an appreciation of a stutter with the DA62 video.

So it must be something related to codecs or some similar factors.

The slow descent into madness here is at times amusing and at other times hilarious.
Take a deep breath guys. We're going to be ok 😉

The videos are all blank for me, whether I run them from the links on the first page of this thread, or on the official Microsoft Flight Simulator website. I played the videos included with the last update just fine, so what is different with these??

It does look odd, it stands out too much.  But it's likely due to the fact the airport "environment" is driven separately and then overlaid on the terrain, so that it can be re-used for every airport.  Always a tricky area to "blend" properly, especially with photo terrain.

I realize the trees, houses and everything else are also overlaid on the terrain, but the runways, taxiways, and aprons are always tricky.

It looks almost the same in the real sat photo of the area. It's a concrete runway surrounded by light green.

I'm sorry, you must have meant the nose-down spin into madness.

They are blank for me also. I tried them on different machines with internet explorer and firefox. All machines are windows 7 so I figured it was MS restricting me.

Windows 7 @ home and Windows Vista @ work, so maybe there is some truth in your theory!

It's interesting to see that some flightsim users (who usually want the best flightsim, the best OS etc.) are still using a 10 year old OS.

Especially since Win 10 is really top and support for Win 7 ends in a few month.

I selected Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit as my OS when I purchased my PC way back in August 2014. Windows 8 was available, but I preferred the more classic look (and operation) of Windows 7. Upgrading to Windows 10 can wait until I buy a new PC....

But you do know that the Win 10 upgrade is still free and that it's noticable faster than Win 7 (and 8)....

If MSFS turns out well, they might license that one instead of ESP I guess.

But we'll see P3D v5 before that in any case.

I doubt it, to be honest... We are not Lockheed-Martin's primary market, with regards to P3D.

It hasn't been "free" for some months now according to the MS Store.
