October 10, 20196 yr So the two pretty much agree with each other. I knew VR grew alot this year with the new headsets , but from news online. "... Year over year, monthly-connected headsets on Steam are up 80%" ~Forbes so this is real. And nuts

X-plane is the last major sim that added VR support, and it has the worst VR support. Very framerate unfriendly. So it's natural its VR users are few. If you go to the Aerofly FS 2 forum, much more VR users there. If you go to the FlyInside forum, all of them are VR users. There is a new thread about VR on Reddit flightsim sub group, most people are very happy to see Microsoft's new positive attitude towards VR implementation at launch. Users of Reddit flightsim sub group might be more "casual" flight simmers than those of Avsim, but they are flight simmers after all. Please see this thread:

Yes, it is not as performant as Aerofly, but I get much better frames than with P3D and, of course, the touch control implementation is very good. Add to that the community tools such as Avitab (that allows you to have an EFB with Navigraph in VR) and you have the current standard for VR implementation in flight-sims. If MS follows suit, I'd be very happy. Edited October 10, 20196 yr by n4gix REMOVED EXCESSIVE QUOTE!!! Please stop quoting the entire post you are replying to! October 10, 20196 yr I think thanks to this new poll, we will find out that 99% of the simmers are using VR :)) If this poll is not reflecting reality, what is the point of it?
October 10, 20196 yr No, and I really do not plan to ever use it in this encarnation, unless forced to in the day there's only that option available. Nice attempt though at being provocative. The Pimax 8K-X have 4K screens per eye and 170 degree horizontal FOV (will release in december 2019). My 2080Ti/9900K combo can run this. In one year (when MSFS2020 is released) I can upgrade my 2080Ti .... so running dual 4K screens in VR is doable. And what about the VR hardware in 2 years - and still no VR support in MSFS2020? I will ignore the "Nice attempt though at being provocative" insult.
