Carlos,

I believe you're clearly a perfect example of someone who has been supporting X-Plane for ages! So, really nothing to worry about and we're all free to express our feelings,

otherwise what are forums like this for ?

I'm with you in my disappointment regarding the track followed by the latest versions of X-Plane, and although I do really not intend to invest in FS 2020, very interested in all that

is happening with that rather promissing platform.

Thanks for you positive comments Jcomm, just got quite frustrated after watching the latest Q&A.

If you dont like xplane you can always delete it, there are enough of these going nowhere ridiculous posts going on, and it  doing nothing but irritating everyone, but there will always be someone else to stir the pot, cant leave well enough alone.

It's baffling at how many people want X-Plane to fail.  Is it a competition or something??  Which flight sim survives?  If FS2020 survives, X-Plane needs to DIE!!  X-Plane users always say "have both".  MSFS users say "RIP X-Plane!"

Both of your posts are completely off the rails. No one is talking about wanting it to fail, nor die. There's a very valid posts, talking about competition. Carlos even says 'let the competition begins' and then a few other well-meaning posts. Suddenly it goes into asking people to delete it and it's baffling they want X-Plane to fail? And yes, of course two platforms in the same sphere, severing the exact same audience, trying to do the exact same thing are going to compete. Talking about platforms needing to die is something you guys are brewing up for dramatic purposes it seems.

While we don’t know what the future holds, I do hope the xplane and fsx/P3d communities can come together in fs2020. Having developers from both platforms focused on one sim is a win for us as simmers.

YOu better hope for some competition or else hold on to your greenbacks!

I think xplane has been taking it easy because there is little competition. Ms have shaken that up. I really hope xplane devs will step up to the challenge. The fact the clouds in xplane are worse than a 2006 product says it all. That q and a was like there was no ms2020. They need to pay more attention if they dont want to become a bit part player again.

I could not have agreed with you more, and that is exactly what has me shaken up too.

No-one actually wants XP to die, I think people are just letting off steam a little. We have had to put up with XP’s (and P3D) glacial pace of development, so the frustration of recent years without any real innovation or listening to what customers actually want is showing. MS arrive on the scene again with seemingly revolutionary wunder-sim, and folks are plain giddy with excitement.
