TLDR:The sim won't be the same on the consoles and probably won't be on all the XBOX's. End of and time will tell.

Microsoft has said that for the first year or 2 after release the Series X won't have any exclusive games (at least first party games), every game released for the Series X will also be on the X-Box One.

So if FS2020 does release on Series X in the next 2 years it will also be on the XB1.

And the devs have said it won't be hard to bring it to the Xbox.  Everyone one is assuming you will need a high end machine to run this

😐😶

Sooooooo.....

We have preview videos, user pictures, developer updates, and even us testers certifying that what's being put out there by Asobo/Microsoft is pretty legit.

Then after months of media blitz, some guy comes out of nowhere with a janky lo-res video produced on a baked potato.. (or maybe a squash..... I like squash.....)

And suddenly everything is up in the air, and all we have seen so far is up for question?

What am I missing?

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

???   The E3 footage was from an Xbox.  Looked great to me.

Edit, maybe not, seems Author might have been confused, see below.

My brother has Coronavirus, confirmed by testing. On 3/26 he almost didn't survive the night.  He had extreme trouble breathing and was given a steroid inhaler.  He was very weak, had nausea, and other issues that aren't pleasant.  As of this update he is feeling much better, and seems he will be fine.  Stay safe out there.  (Updated 4/6)

Read the comments.
Author of the article/report was mistaken.

I must admit this confused me. I've updated the article to reflect that the platform was 'Xbox', and not an Xbox.

The Xbox branding being done by MS is confusing many people. They seem to be wanting that term to cover all their gaming efforts across platforms and not specifically referencing a certain piece of hardware or a console.

Its your right to not read that into this interview.

Personally, I'll stick with the theory that promo material has been made on 32 core 4.5GHz CPUs with 128GB ram and RTX2080Ti's, and everyone else gets either the best current hardware has to offer, or pays a monthly fee to rent better hardware from Microsoft in the cloud, until its actually shown to be otherwise.

Rendering is done only locally. This is a well known thing. It's not the first time a generic news site makes unclear or simply wrong statements about new games.

And as I have said, IF that is the case it will not be the same experience on all platforms. I will not be able to do what I want to do on any other version than the PC. Same for many others.

It is the case, its official. I'm not sure why you keep saying if.

Ok, looking in context, the author seems to say Xbox platform, which might be PC.  Yes, it is confusing.

But, from the linked article which part of this seems based on, Phil says " They can do it on Xbox and they can do it on Windows and it look like that on stage. ".

That is not the plan. MSFT Gamepass is intended to end up a competitor to Google Stadia / Geforce Now

Anyone else notice the stuttering?

Yes. But the settings can be turned down a lot.

Try it yourself if you want to get a feel of what your machine is capable of. Its a free benchmark.

IF

I get you you say IF it releases for Xbox One.  But it is just as confirmed for PC as Xbox One.  So you might as well say IF it releases for PC.

Gees, this guy again. YOU ARE NOT HEARING ME! Try getting your PMDG 737 to run on your XBOX ONE S. A: there won't be one because there will not be one on the xbox market place and B: It will not run on it even if there was because the XBOX ONE S is powered by a coughing hamster. IT WILL NOT BE THE SAME EXPERIENCE. The sim WILL BE DIFFERENT.

The console will be a resource limited and content locked GAME. You will be able to fire it up and fly around the world but it will look different and you will not be able to add heavy addon aircraft the likes of which interest me and MANY other users here. It's the reason many of us do this. I ain't interested in a default aircraft and content experience.

I don't know if you are new here and to PC flight simulation or not but if you are not then you surly must understand what I'm saying. If you are new then it explains a lot.

If you dont want me replying then understand what you are saying. It is official, Microsoft flight simulator is coming to Xbox One, no ifs, its happening.

The game if optimised right will run absolutely fine on the Xbox One X.

I’ll be really surprised if MSFS is much of anything, or it happens at all, on XB1 hardware.

I will just leave it at that.
