Does the GPU Hardware Scheduler work on a 1080Ti (under W10 / 2004) and does it require support from the Software (i.e. P3D) or does it work as is?

Thanks and kind regards, Michael

I am pretty sure it does. it's at the drivers level. It's working regardless of the software using the GPU.

Thanks Claude, I'll try it after coming to terms with HF2.

Kind regards, Michael

You need to be running W10 2004 for this.

sounds very cool - but I will have to google it out as I have no idea what it does.  As long as it pushes my RTX 2070 Super even more - yay!!! and that in turn pushes P3D 5HF2 (still haven't installed it - have no sim yet, uninstall v5hf1 and ran out of time).

It lets the GPU managed it's own VRAM. It also improved lowest and avg fps.

I am also running 2004 with a 1080ti.  I finally got hotfix 2 all installed and running well.  Looking for some feedback on this new driver as I show it available.  the DX12 optimization is particularly interesting considering V5...

Awesome!!!

Skywolf, I'm waiting for your new and reworked gfx settings for this driver and P3Dv5 ASAP. ))

Thanks.

To enable the feature after installing the new driver, follow these steps:

  • Open Settings (in Windows 10).
  • Navigate to System > Display.
  • Scroll to and click on the ‘Graphics settings’ link.
  • Enable the hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling option.
  • Restart your system.

I will try to get it out maybe later this evening or by tomorrow evening.

Much of my 'uneventful' flights in HF1 I believe are partly thanks to your settings that I used right after installation.

I wish those with persistent problems in v5 first thoroughly followed and tried them out.
