Thanks, I am going to give that a whirl for fun. 30hz vsync has been working well, but the mouse lag is a little annoying.

I can actually do this in v5 (vsync at 60hz and maintain it) as @jimcarrel is doing, in similar situations (low or no AI and rural area), but other than that big caveat I can have a settings profile with a lot of sliders right and it's still pegged at 60 fps.  That's a nice capability to play with, even if I'm still usually vsync'ing at a more mundane 30hz.

Naturally if I go to add-on EGLL and load a bunch of AI with the Maddog it won't be able to maintain 60 frames, but for tooling around Luckenbach, Texas in the A2A stuff or blasting thru a canyon in the F-35 it's a nice diversion.

As a side/offshoot of this, I discovered my monitor can refresh at 50hz also, and the matching 50 fps is a bit more achievable with a bit more AI/add-ons for my hardware.  I wish it had a 40hz refresh option.  That would actually be do-able in v5 with even AI and complex aircraft in most places, with my hardware.  At 50 hz there isn't really any mouse lag that I notice.

I've tried to hold 60fps, but as you note, can't quite hold it... almost. Agreed something in the 40s would be lovely.

I'm 40 minutes into an LSGG-LEMD Maddog flight using adaptive half refresh rate and so far so good...holding like 30hz but the mouse is 60hz responsive... We'll see after a few hours...

@cwburnett So what is the difference between 1/2 refresh rate setting and just locking the max frame rate in NCP?

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

Can we please come back to topic. It seems that this thread is "hijacked" for a Monitor Hz Discussion instead of feedback to the new driver and its capabillities.

Would appreciate some feedback from user if they are experiencing a "noticable" change with these new nvidia driver AND set Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling at Windows 2004 display settings to on.

Thanks a lot.

Can the moderator maybe "split" the discussion in 2 threads? That would be nice.

Does 4.5 HF3 take advantage of this new driver and scheduler? Stuff it, I'm just going to try it and see..

Didn't see any difference with my GTX 1070 (i7-4770) and Prepar3D v5 HF2.

I lost 5 fps with it on. Turned it back off.
