Actually, some of "us" know at least a bit more. I grant you take me as an example. And I pre-ordered the Aerosoft Premium Deluxe DVD edition right now. But I agree to you, it's urgenly rquired MS releases more factual detailed information on the sim, even more, as the release version seems to be much different from the Alphas. The present FAQ is definitely not enough. I solved it by going to the Microsoft App store and searching for "flight simulator". When I clicked on one of the resulting thumbnails it took me to the MSFS page on the Microsoft UK site, which gave the prices in UK pounds and accepted my UK address. July 15, 20205 yr I am keen to give it a try. Nonetheless why pre order? This is mainly a digital download and I can't imagine that Bill will run out of copies any time soon. I can imagine there may be problems downloading when everyone else is trying to. Could a kind person explain to a simple soul what advantage is to be had by pre ordering. I am interested to learn if my add ons can be used on this Flight Sim like they can on P3Dv5. Anyone know?
July 15, 20205 yr No benefit to pre-order at all, only bragging rights. Maybe the older stuff can be used, remember that the new aircraft will be a lot more realistic, with detail, & 1000 contact points per surface vs 1 on the older planes. I think the best thing to do is to consider the new sim as a totally new product & not an update or upgrade. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
July 15, 20205 yr If you want to enjoy flying various aircraft without hours with your nose in a book trying to figure it out I think many will. Each to his own the best aircraft add on will I am sure enhance the program as they did on FSX and P3D

July 15, 20205 yr If a person wants to pre-order, then they can pre-order. If you want to wait and see how the game looks on release, then don't pre-order. Doesn't seem worth discussion beyond that.
July 15, 20205 yr Does anybody know if you can get updates with the CD-Version from Aerosoft? Or can I get updates only with the download-version from Microsoft?
July 15, 20205 yr Michael, Perfectly agree with you 🙂 I did the pre-order myself, but I know it's a beta version coming out. And in this sense I accept and I think that the 20-30 planes delivered will not all be fully clickable, that maybe even the G1000 screens or other not fully usable or with bugs (but I would be wrong on this point) 🙂 - As for the flight models, this is what annoys me the most, of not knowing at what level they are really ... no leaks on this subject on the part of the Alpha testers. Now if the planes at the level of aerodynamics programming are already much better than on Fsx, without being finished yet, I will already be happy with that. And while waiting for the release of the 1st final version, we will certainly have to be content with VFR flights and discover the countries or regions, which will already be a real pleasure, if the majority of the planet conforms to Microsoft's advertising images? I think this is very relevant information and not an "experiment". Better to clarify that as much as we can before the thing is released... This is the basic mistake 😉 New MSFS (or other modern software) has a new philosophy, for comunication or adding functionalities users hasn't to intervent to program folders manually. Add-ons should comunicate with MSFS only via official API or own market installator. I think, no one user wants go back to past, with very complicated instalation proces, manuall copying files to various folders, manuall setings priorities of add-ons, editing config files etc. Nowadays users of modern games wants easy add-ons instalation proces with graphic user interface. If ASOBO made good work (and i'm sure, that yes), we don't need manual acces to MSFS folders, as in older sims.
