I know everyone has their "if this plane was in MSFS I'd be happy" and mine is the Flysimware Lear with RXP GTN.  Next would be the A2A Bonanza with GTN.  And MSFS needs to fix real world winds/weather in USA - then I'd be pretty happy!

For now I'm sticking to VFR flights and basic IFR with airways.

I had a chat about 10 days ago with the Flight1 folks that have the yea/nay vote and they were crystal clear that they were going to take a long, hard look at the overall big picture, including the incomplete SDK at the time, and that they were most definitely not interested in entering a race to see who could have their stuff working in MSFS first.

We can all make a guess, and I am guessing we will indeed see the GTN and the GNS products available for this flight sim.  Sure, it could take way longer than we would like, but, it is a huge market and if the 3rd party devs keep jumping on the train it is to our benefit.

Yes, the GTN was my single favorite addon  for the last days of FSX and I used it every chance I got in most everything it would fit in, plus as a popup on the ones that it didn't fit cleanly in the panel.

Keep the dream alive and let Flight1 know you would like to see the GTN here.

Ray

Well Said!!!

Probably gonna take a fully working SDK for them to get this one in production!

Yes. I would settle for a Popup but...that's not even available yet. just completed KAPA to KTEX telluride. Of all the airports to be missing Appr procedure. Telluride. Got in and out ok just from experience.

Guessing it will be an addon, which I will gladly purchase.  Love me some steam gauges and a GTN750 in my planes.

Totally agree I miss my GNS and GTN and would fork out again in a heartbeat

Big call on the Flysimware lear. I own it, but have never installed it! I’ll have to get around to that soon.

Bonanza is great, but I actually rate the Comanche higher, also great in combo with the GTN 750.

I hope not. The GTN 750 is legacy stuff.

What?  It is a relatively new product on Garmin's lineup.  It's popular drop in avioincs.  Not everyone has a place for a G3X or G1000 nxi on their panel.

I think you've confused it with the GNS series which is a legacy product.

Do the Citation Longitude or the Phenom 300E come with the GTN 750? I'm hoping the days where we had to install the GTN750 into addon planes to make them functional are over.

Different market segment, @Ricardo41. For instance, IRL a new Phenom 300 might be equipped with a G3000. The Longitude would definitely be equipped with a G5000. The GTN series would generally be installed in (but not limited to) smaller GA planes. In the sim, there's nothing that says you can't use another solution like RealityXP or Flight 1 GTN/GNS units if they bring it over to MSFS, in pop up mode at least, and integrated in the panel if the plane is configured for it (I doubt the defaults will ever support them directly)

I too really hope Asobo ups the quality of their Garmins over time where we don't have to go with 3rd party plugins to get a functional IFR platform. I'm not opposed to RealityXP or Flight 1 products for their faithful reproduction of the using one of the Garmins, but it still isn't a perfect solution. Unless you are able to get updated nav data from Garmin ($$$), you are stuck with whatever stale data is included with the official Garmin trainers. I don't know about you, but we've lived with stale data long enough.

I hope we still get RXP but I also hope with you, that Asobo will design their Garmin glass correctly, so we could use it with updated navdata.  It's hopeless right now.

I would guess we will feel the pain of not having the F1 GTNs and XP  530 quite soon.  Both the Milviz 310R and Carenado M20R Mooney will have unused features where we would normally add them to the panel with 3D knobs.

well said. With all the wonderful things that Asobo have done with fs20 the Garmins are at the most horrendous feature of this sim compared to other 7 year old sims and all the YT promoters are there saying nothing are on another level of hypocrisy.

I have to tell ya if I were rich beyond imagination and had G6 parked outside in my driveway, I'd have it re-fitted with the 750.

To me, the 1000/3000 series is not nearly as intuitive as the 750, and unless you have the keypad with it, you're turning knobs to dial freqs, adding waypoints, looking up data, etc. (that gets old so fast to me)

The touchscreen interface on the 750 is so easy to use and learn, you take someone off the street and plop him in the right seat and have him acting as your FO in no time.

I'm with Steve.  I love my 750 and it's one of the reasons I'm still loving XP11.
