I've just gone back to P3D for now.

For me, MSFS is just a scenery simulator for now...and just like living next to the beach, the novelty has worn off.

Couldn't agree more, I'd take steam gauges + GTN750 over a G1000 any day of the week! I was so disappointed when previews showed Asobo had modelled the GNS430 and not the GTN750, because the GNS is more of the same awkward ergonomics and rubbish user interface (although capable IRL, it's still an word not allowed to use)

The GTN750 is a dream to use compared to any other aviation GPS system I have experience of, I hope it makes it in to the sim and can be retrofitted into the virtual cockpits of the C172, DA40TDI etc.

LOL yeah.....trying to hold on to that knob and endlessly turn it to get to the next letter in your airport code you want to fly direct to....exercise in frustration in bumpy air....only to be repeated 3 more times to get the whole identifier.  Not to mention having to move from inner to outer dial between each letter.

GTN750, 6 button presses and you're going direct to DFW (Direct-to button, 4 letters, Enter)....a pure example of simplicity

 

Kinda funny because in real life the GTN's touchscreens are a pain to use in turbulence the way the GNS/G1000s are a pain to use in turbulence in the sim.

I think the point being made is that even the planes I have that included GTN's I would always pop'em out onto my second screen, we can't even do that with the GNS at the moment.

Popups/ multmonitor is one thing that needs to be addressed I should hope.

I suspect that the GTN Trainer will work fine as long as the SDK supports it.  BTW the Garmin GTN750 is my favorite GPS.

That is the exact issue... the SDK does not support it (at present)..

There is a request in the official Microsoft wish list to add the GTN 750. It wouldn't hurt to go there and VOTE! Simply register (if not already) and paste this link, https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/garmin-gtn-750/341044 and click VOTE. 

Pilotedge got Multi-com support added by using the vote system.

Every vote helps!!

Well, I don't really think that Asobo will be developing a GTN750, their goal right now for update 3, is to get an enjoyable system but also something robust that won't force 3PD to develop their own.

You need to look for Reality-XP, but more importantly for 3PD planes, because if there is no option to switch from default to addon GNS530 to GTN750, it's pretty useless.

 There are other options besides RXP. It wouldn't hurt to Vote to get them thinking about possibilities. No one said it had to be before the next update, Hell, I'd be happy if it was implemented in the next year or two! 

 I've been flight simming since the mid 80's, a couple more years to wait for something to be added to an awesome simulator is nothing.
