Its an update for the A320 also, so make sure to update that first.

Lefteris..

Hello everyone,

I am happy to announce that our latest updates (v5.0.1.103) for the A320-X and A321-X are now live and available through our download page.

This is the first update that makes the A321-X compatible with P3D v5, which brings significant improvements in performance, as well as several updates and fixes to the base code.

In this update, you will find external model PBR texturing for the A321-X was updated to bring it up to v5 standards, adding several improvements which follow the A320-X update, such as dynamic cabin window blinds logic, newly tuned dynamic lights, effects and splashes, overlays redone using PBR techniques, contrail fixes for P3D v5 and other small cosmetic fixes which add to the immersion.

We also added several fixes to the code, such as cockpit door open/close logic for the various panel states (Cold & Dark, On APU, On GPU, Engines Running), a fix to the VOR Radios logic to not show radials when an ILS frequency is tuned, logic fixes to the FWC EMER CANC button functionality and other small updates. As usual, you will find the complete list of updates at the end of this note.

Something else I'd like to discuss here is that we have been receiving several queries from our customers regarding our upcoming plans and I'd like to assure everyone that we will continue to support our current product line into the future, as per our April roadmap. This means that after today's A321-X update release, the plan continues to be a release of the A319-X for P3D v5, then the Sharklets. Regarding MS Flight Simulator, while I cannot divulge any information as there are several NDAs in place, we have been carefully aligning our business to explore all possibilities the new sim will allow.

What I can announce today, however, is that we are very excited to be opening invitations to interview additional developers to allow for faster and more streamlined development of our products, current and upcoming. We will be adding positions for C++/C# developers, as well as 3D modelers so if you love aviation, have the requisite experience and want to join our development team, please read this job posting and apply!

Here's a more complete list of the improvements and updates that are part of this release:

Weight and balance now set properly in P3Dv5

How many FPS along with heavy scenes?

In jurisprudence, there is a principle - you look for the person who benefits.

NY with all the addons in the mid 20s. Orbx Germany South and Aerosoft EDDF above 30

Reading between the lines, I suspect they are hiring to get things moving quickly over to MFS.  This is good news, just hope there is an upgrade price pathway...but don't hold your breath.

How does it compare to the NGXu, perfomance-wise (fps)?

Should those people who are still on 4.5HF3 bother?

Hey guys - I am a long time user of the A-320/319x but never got the 321 as I took a year off from the sim.  I reinstalled V5 a month ago and I'm back in the 320. Is the 321 worth getting?  I know there are some differences but need somebody to kick me over the edge and talk me into it...😅

I own all 3.  I personally like the A319 better.  It really just is a question of what specifically you are looking for.  While the A321 has some differences from the A320, you should have a good idea what you are getting since you already have the A320

You mean bother to upgrade to v5?  I would say no!  I upgraded, purchased a new hard drive, purchased a few upgrade products and got setup on v5.  v5 is nice but not a huge leap from 4.5 and then MFS announced release a lot earlier than anyone expected.  I think if I knew that when v5 was released I would just have waited for MFS....let's face it we will all be on that platform soon once they 3PD's start releasing their goodies.

I'm still on 4.5HF3 and do not plan to move to 5.0 until LM finishes the TS and polish DX12 issues. Hence, my question is whether I need those v5-intended updates in v4. Do they bring anything new to the v4.5

Thanks
