It's French, as in commonly spoken French, not TV documentary French. But maybe it's an accent I'm familiar with and I have no problem understanding him.

....Avsim members spend the rest of the thread arguing about *ahem* spiritedly discussing everything but Niagara Falls.

....And speaking of Niagara Falls. I personally hope that if they aren't included with the initial release of the sim, some effects like animated waterfall motion, mist, etc. can be added at a later date. I think that would go a long way in correcting a weak spot in the preview build.

This is something I knew it was gonna happen. The fidelity in certain area in so high that any other area that doesn't have the same treatment will stick out like a sore thumb. Expect. 5 millions video on this landmark is missing or the color of my roof doesn't match the real world.

Well, considering that I am taking a break from flight simulation because I am bored with it, developers need to try that bit harder to lure me back. A decent simulation of waterfalls would be a good place to start

I'm curious to see how areas where there is no good data available like northern Alaska/Canada?  What will be displayed?

As far as I can see such particle effects are missing completely in MSFS so far: no smoke from chimneys, power plants, industrial plants etc, no mist at waterfalls, no spray or wake on water landings etc. I have no doubt these things will be added. Also I assume they will give the world's most iconic waterfalls some special attention.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of Australia's most well known and photographed landmarks but good luck trying to find it in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The Tim Hortons on Centre Street, Espanola, Ontario, Canada gets more special attention.

It's an issue with the photogrammetry. If you were to turn it off, all the AI produced autogen would be there.

Something is happening at Bing maps that has screwed up some of the photogrammetry. A lot of them seem to have hard borders with areas of no buildings now where before they didn't. Maybe they are updating stuff? I don't know.

This video shows some areas with very poor Bing data coverage (towards the end).
