August 13, 20205 yr Is there really a market for $25-75 planes? I wonder if the bigger addressable market that MSFT 2020 might provide could lower the cost of these add-ons. Edited August 13, 20205 yr by Virtual-Chris

For example, the iFly 737 appeared for P3D, the iFly being less expensive than the PMDG 737. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

They never did a 64bit version for P3Dv4 or v5 did they? August 13, 20205 yr I don't do so called *study level AC*. I need an FSX default style 737-800 or I'm not a buyer. C&D starts, FMC, FLCH, LNAV, VNAV etc etc are not in my future! If I can't fly and navigate like the FSX default jets I'll stick with FSX-SE. Can someone tell me if you can operate the PMDG AC like the FSX default 738?
August 13, 20205 yr Its exclusion is possibly something to do with the problems with MCAS on the MAX and Boeing keeping their heads down for a while where the 737 is concerned, but if it is, we'll likely never hear of that being confirmed as a reason. August 13, 20205 yr Sorry that the 737-800 isn't included since you would like it. I guess they had to put a line somewhere. There is only so much they can do with a deadline. They have the a320 which is similar size and range which you might enjoy. They also have the boeing 747-400 that you also might enjoy quite a lot. If you ONLY want to fly the 737 then Im afraid you are out of luck for a little while. I advice you look into some of the other airplanes. I think you might find some of them are quite enjoyable. Which is, especially when it comes down to navigation, much easier than the default, because it can do things the default can't. Like calculating proper take-off speeds for any given weight or shooting for the right moment when to descent or shallow the descent to reach the speed limits. In the default airplane you all have to do that on your own. Edited August 13, 20205 yr by Farlis

You can hand fly it easily. You can, indeed load a pmdg aircraft in fully running state directly on the active runway, kick the tires, light the fires, and fly it around like a big Cessna all afternoon long. And there’s not a thing that anyone on avsim can do to stop you. Now, why you would pay 140 dollars to do that is a different question, but all those realism modes and failures and flight management computers can be ignored or bypassed. When I first got their stuff, 8-10 years ago, I used to fly that way all the time.
