I can't confirm that. A GA plane in X-Plane at 4K over my home town is steady at 30fps whereas MSFS drops down to 8fps and has autogen popping all the time. The released version of MSFS is actually performing worse for me than the latest Beta. I am trying the older driver now. Maybe this makes a difference.

A day old sim with occasional stutters, in an airliner, in two major detailed cities is an absolute nightmare?

Best you go back to XP11 I think......

Not really best he goes back anywhere is it? He’s only expressing what he sees (yeah, maybe he could put it better. But not gonna hate him cause he doesn’t).

The sim stutters. If we can all find Out what Causes it, instead of bickering, it would be great! And when I say stutter, I mean 1-2 second freezes sometimes. Not minuscule things.

You self-confess to being banned for repeatedly trolling in the P3D forums banging on about Xplane, so you will forgive me for querying if you actually are using MFS or just in this forum to stir things up with anecdotal hyperbole. Nice to see you've finally admitted that overall performance is actually good and it's just specifically stutters you have an issue with, rather than just saying again "it's a hot mess beta disaster!!!!!" - if you were any more biased though you'd need "fair and balanced" in your signature 🤣

It's so funny when people tell me to "go back to X-Plane". Yes, I am an X-Plane expert (building systems since 2012) and like it or not, that puts me in the very best position to evaluate the new sim.

No it doesn't, it gives you a vested interest in being biased towards Xplane. The only thing you seem to be an expert in is mastery of overstatement.

P3D is not FS2020 is it? P3D was a sad episode for simmers, but it's over now. I have NO pre formed opinions towards FS2020 whatsoever.

I am not the only one who has stutters, I just seem to be one of the few who notices them. All of YouTube is full of FS2020 stutters, but most people don't seem to mind or even notice them. There's not a single video on YouTube showing an FS2020 airliner flight that is not RIDDEN with stutters (most of them from the beta though).

I have no vested interest in being biased, sorry. I just want a good looking and running sim. In the past years, X-Plane was the only option. That has changed.

I don’t have it yet. I’m holding back until you chaps have finished beta testing it. 😉

Same as by then everyone will upgrade, and there’ll be a flood of  GPU’s on the market and other hardware which I’ll pick up cheap. 
By then MSFS will have been optimized. I’ll select reasonable and not unrealistic settings and will have smooth performance. 
 

Everyone else will have dropped so much $$$ on hardware they’ll be broke. Unable to pay the mortgage, pay bills and feed the kids.

But I’ll be laughing all the way to the bank.  😏

I have a I9-9900K,2080TI,32GBram,4K HDR TV..

I was getting 35-50fps on ultra Vsych off, but the huge FPS changes causes bad suttering.  So, I set the Vsynch on with 30FPS frame limit. I then turned on my TV's motion smoothing (interpolates 30 to 120fps).. and WOW!  it's now running at rock solid 30 to 120fs and no more hickups.. The motion is so hyper smooth I can now see tiny fast changing motion from small turbulence and eddys. If you have a TV... give this a try. It's mind blowing.

Just completed a flight in the Scottish highlands here, away from cities. Was super smooth, I even flew through a rainbow! 

i am over the moon, i run on a below spec machine. (ofcourse i am on a tryout with the gamepass, but this is going to be a buy)

settings a mix of off, low and medium, clouds at high tho.

sofar in bushflying conditions with live weather, runs awesomely well.

not interested in airliners.

I can't complain, 35 to 50 fps at 1440 some ultra some high and some medium less important stuff.
What's strange is that even at ultra preset, the hardware isn't working that hard, I reach 75% GPU today, while I'm sure yesterday I had Ram Peaking at 14GB usage and GPU always at 98-100%

I tried the A320 in and out of San Francisco and I had only a slight difference compared to GA

Haven't checked fps (at work now), but it ran beautifully for me; only complaint is some autogen pop ins, not not excessive by any means. 

2k resolution, GTX 1070, i5 8600k, 32 GB RAM, SSD

Looked awesome in a snowstorm in the mountains of northern Utah in a 172.
